There is a huge cultural shift taking place. For the last 10 years, since 2000 we have experienced how everything is getting digital. The mobile phone is today just as powerful as a desktop computer in 2000. We have all this power in our pocket. This presentation was given at the Gambling Technology Strategies 2011 in London.

This slide shows the same trend but where the previous graph ended in Q3 2010 this one runs to the end of Q4 2010 and you can see how it is inline with the previous graph:iOS has stayed relatively steady Android has continued shooting up Blackberry is declining although it did get a bump over Christmas… we don’t have data for Q1 2011 yet to see if that trend continued.
  2. Note that this figure is based on Smartphone OS System share based on mobile subscriptions. It does not reflect which OS you will find downloading apps and browsing the web.Blackberry is predominantly used by business users who use it for e-mail as opposed to entertainment.
