2. Children worked in pairs on a carousel of past SAT’s questions.
Me and my LSA kept our distance initially, observing different
strategies and, in particular, the discussion that was taking
place between the children.
We intervened when children asked for assistance but we
were careful not to just give strategies, but instead we
encouraged the children to problem solve where possible.
We also encouraged children to look at alternative strategies
for the same problem and evaluate which worked best and
why.
