I once deliberated on what a FRIEND means to me. And I came to a conclusion which I would like to share with you.

It was BY CHANCE we met, BY CHOICE we became Friends…

Friendship is a strange thing.... We find ourselves telling each other the deepest details of our lives…. Things we don't even share with our families who raised us

But who is a friend? A Confidant? A Fellow email junkie? A Shoulder to cry on? An Ear to listen? A Heart to feel?... A friend is all these things and more ...

It is true great things come in small packages. Once the package of FRIENDSHIP is opened, it can never be closed... It is a mobile book always written... Waiting to be read...

We may have our disagreements... We may argue... We may distress one another... True FRIENDSHIP is a unique bond that lasts through it all....

A part of me is put into my friends... Some of it is my humour... Some of it is my listening ear... Some of it is real life experiences... Some of it is my stupidity... but with all, it is friendship.

Help me, O God, to be a good and true friend. To be always loyal, and never to let my friends down; or talk about them behind their backs in a way in which I would not do before their faces; Never to betray their confidence or talk about the things which I ought to be silent; Help me to be as true to my friends As I would wish them to be to me. This I ask for the sake of You who are the greatest and the truest of all friends, For your love’s sake, Amen.

I got down on my knees, and said a prayer for you, For you are always in my prayers, I asked the Lord to send his angels, to protect you. I prayed that all your joy and happiness, will never end. May the Lord comfort you, when you are feeling blue, And your tears, may he wipe away that too, I asked the Lord to bless our friendship, And help us to be the rock whenever needed. Above all l ask God to bless you and your family.

Dear Lord, With my whole heart I ask that you look after my friends Guide them in troubles times, Lead them when lost Give them your ear, when they just need to talk Lend them a hand when they’ve nowhere to turn Show them a new road when a bridge has been burned Teach them to smile when everything seems bad And show them there is happiness after all that seems sad Dear Lord, This is my prayer, I hope that every word you can hear This message is from my heart; for my friends are so dear

Father, I ask you to bless my friend reading this right now! Lord, show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace & mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence in Your ability to work through them. Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding, patience, & strength Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with You. Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage.
