2. What is Social Media Marketing?
let’s go ahead and clarify- it’s more than Facebook Posts & Tweets.
#JoinTheConversation
3. This is a fundamental shift in
the way we communicate. If
we’re not marketing
socially, we’re simply not being
heard.
Social Media is not going ANYWHERE

5. Use sample templates to kick-off
your presentation and focus on the
content (you’re viewing one right
now!)
You don’t have to start from scratch.
If you need help with a status report
or ideas for a photo album, look no
further.
If today we’re relying on a cute baby campaign to sell our
products, it’s not going to be enough.

8. Social Marketing is not replacing Traditional
Marketing….
It’s the understanding that sometimes you
have to stop and listen.

9. OrganizewithSections Too much information?
Divide and conquer a large presentation by organizing your
presentation with sections.
You can name, print, and
apply effects to an entire
section easily.

Social Media is not just the new wave. There’s a fundamental shift in marketing and the way we communicate with one another.
I know what happens is marketers or sales agents say “we don’t need social media. What we have is working. Our traditional marketing is so clever and so original that we don’t need to add anything else”
Everyone can get a picture of baby, add a tire, and make the ad cute
But why this cycle continues is every marketer things that their picture of the puppy or baby is the most incredible thing that happened to the industry.
We all need to communicate and have our message heard. But what happens is when you rely solely on the broadcasting but ignore the engagement part of the marketing and sales process, you miss the most valuable feedback you could receive.
It’s not about being the loudest voice in the room
We can’t keep spraying and praying, hoping there are enough people in our spray-field to be drenchedWhat marketing and sales don’t understand is there’s a way to systematically and strategically communicate with customers and nurture them to the point of sale. It’s through listening, engaging, and developing relationships. And THAT is done through Social Marketing.
Facebook- still the largest social media site to date. Most opportunities with consumers because of easy sharing and engagement capabilities. The concept of “talk when everyone else is silent” is what applies here. See when everyone else is dying down, and insert yourself into people’s minds at that time. That requires research and, you got it, listening. It is the largest social media traffic driver to the Nocatee website.Twitter- shift from B2C to B2B. Trends are showing that the source is becoming more “news-posting” than “relational”. That being said, view Twitter as keeping people informed of what’s going on. But please, please, please don’t just post “NEW HOME 2,000 square feet, call me for details”. If you do that over and over again you’ll be unfollowed. RT exciting news. Share when you’ve heard something before anyone else. Ask what people think about issues. LinkedIn- solely B2B. Use as a communication between realtors and builders. That being said, prospects may research you before communicating or making a purchasing decision. The LinkedIn profile is usually one of the top google hits if you search someone’s name. Make sure your profile is up-to-date and displays that you are a forward thinker and innovative go-getter.Pinterest- another large traffic driver to Nocatee.com. If people are perusing on Pinterest, they are fantasizing and have time to kill. EXACTLY the kind of web browser you want stumbling along your product or services. Have horizontal, unique photos that cause others to repin. Pin something that they don’t want to forget. Instagram- growing in business use, but growing steadily. If people want to be informed, they go to Twitter. If they want mindless dribble, they go to Instagram. Businesses on Instagram have the persona that they are relatable and approachable. If a brand is “cool” enough to be on Instagram, people will tag you and interact.Youtube- This is one social media platform that everyone in this room should be utilizing. People make decisions before they walk into model homes or call realtors. So GET THIS VISUAL IN THEIR HANDS. Take videos of model home tours. Introduce yourself via video. Do recaps or promos of events.
Just a reminder- the key here is we are building relationships, just not broadcasting. And since that’s the case, this quote can be applied to your engagers on social media too.
Ask QuestionsBut not too many. Remember quality conversation is an interesting exchange of ideasListenUse Social Monitoring SitesFind where people are talking about you, and be thereIf you’re asking where to start, THIS is where I’d suggest. Insert yourself into the conversation first. And then start creating it.Don’t DelaySocial Media took off a long time agoTrust me, we are already onto the next big thingThis was the biggest shift in marketing since the invention of the internet. This will not go away.Be PersonalUse your customers names. Use your sales agents and builders names. Be personal. Just like you don’t like getting cold calls from computers, don’t speak like a computer on social media.Treat Others Like You Want To Be TreatedTagRetweetLikeCommentShareRepin
