3. FAMILY BIBLE HOUR ADULT CLASS
OFFERINGS
Family Bible Hour will resume next Sunday from 9:30-
10:30 a.m. In addition to children’s classes, the following
classes will be offered for Adult and Senior High youth:
EXPLORE THE BOOK-NEW TESTAMENT - Taught by Pastor Gary & Kurt
Postma - Join us as we walk through an overview of the New Testament
books. We will highlight the main theme of each book and give the general
thrust of its content. Outlines will be provided weekly.
BELIEFS TO LIVE BY - Taught by Jay Riemersma and Tyler Cook - We’ll be
looking at key questions like, “Who is God?,” “What is Salvation?” and “How
Do I Know the Bible is True?” These and other questions will be covered as
we consider how to build a deeper understanding of our faith.
THE GRACE BY WHICH WE STAND - Taught by Harold Kimbel - We will
be continuing our study of who God is, God’s plan for creating man, His plan
for Israel and the fulfillment of that plan, the unveiling of the Grace in which
we stand and personal applications from both the Old and New Testament.
GOD IN SEARCH OF MAN: ISRAEL’S MISSION - Taught by John Tooke -
The Bible is a collection of stories. Each of these stories is part of a much
greater story - One Story…of a God who created the universe and entrusted it
to human partners to care for it. They were unfaithful and because of sin, the
world descended into chaos. But God did not give up on His Creation. We’ll
learn how God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to redeem mankind
from sin and how God chose human partners to be a light to the nations, to
make His Name known. We’ll begin in the desert with Abraham and Sarah
and discover the kind of partners that to this day God is looking for in this plan
of redemption. Come and join us as we study the Bible in Historical Context
with the teaching of Ray VanderLaan using “That The World May Know” video
lessons in partnership with Focus on the Family ministries.
THE ARMOR OF GOD - Taught by Lisa Kimbel - This women’s and Sr. High
school girl’s class will be a 7-week study and video series featuring Priscilla
Shirer. It will teach how to walk in victory because we have completely put on
the armor that God has given us. Study guides are available for $8. Please
sign up at the Women’s Ministry Counter to attend and indicate if you would
like a book.
