WALKING EXERCISE CLASSES Want to get in shape, lose weight or tone up?
Join others at Parkside on Monday evenings in the Philippi classroom (end of
the hallway) from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and walk 3-5 miles indoors to a video by Leslie
Sansone. All are welcome - men and women! Adjust the routine to your own

OUTRUNNING OSTEOSARCOMA-Michigan 5K for Cheyenne DeVelasco
If you would like to support Brett and Norma Jean in their effort to help provide
funding for research for osteo-sarcoma that took the life of their daughter,

EXPLORE THE BOOK (O. T. Poetic Material) A study entitled “Explore the Book” is being
held on both Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. The
poetic material will be offered each night with Pastor Joe teaching on Wednesday evenings
and Pastor Gary on Thursday evenings. Join us as we learn about the Old Testament
poetic material of Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, etc.
LIFT EVENT (Ladies in Fellowship Together) Our Fall Kickoff event is around the corner
and we’re hoping to see you there! Join us in the youth room this Thursday, October 10 at
6:30 p.m. for a cupcake decorating class taught by our very own Kelly DeFrell! Learn how
to decorate cupcakes while fellowshipping with other ladies of the church. Sign up at the
Women’s Ministry Counter. This is a relaxed event designed perfectly for outreach so don’t

LADIES DINNER & GAME NIGHT Ladies, join us on Friday, October 18, for a fun
evening out! Meet at the Farm House in Zeeland at 5:30 p.m. (Dutch treat) then plan to
come back to the church for simple card and board games and treats. This is a great way
to get to know other women of the church! Sign up at the Women’s Ministry Counter.
WIDOW GROUP This group will be meeting on Monday, October 21 at noon at Parkside.
It doesn’t matter how long you have been either a widow or widower, plan to join us for
fellowship and support. Please sign up at the Welcome Center and indicate what you can
bring to the potluck. If you have questions, please talk to Judy at 399-4410.
SUPER SENIORS The Parkside Super Senior meetings have moved to a monthly
schedule for the fall and winter months. Our next gathering will be on Wednesday,
October 30, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Area and will feature a mini-concert by

ANNUAL MEETING OCTOBER 14 AT 7:00 PM
All members are strongly encouraged to attend our annual meeting on
Monday, October 14 as we must have a quorum to approve the 2020 budget and elect
our new board members. If you are a member and absolutely cannot be present for
the meeting, you can obtain an absentee ballot from deacon Brian Mokma or from Judy
Timmer today. No absentee ballots will be given out at the meeting. Pease pick up a
copy of our Annual Report from the table in the Fellowship Hall. Our proposed board
members and proposed budget are in the packet. (Everyone who is a regular at
Parkside is invited to attend this meeting and pick up a packet.)

CHURCH PANTRY
The pantry is in need of canned fruits, vegetables and canned meats - tuna,
chicken, etc. They are low on these foods and are currently helping 6 families so this
month if you could donate these items, it would be greatly appreciated!)
NEWCOMERS MEET THE STAFF LUNCHEON
If you have started attending Parkside within the last year,
we as a staff, would count it a privilege for you and your
whole family to join us for lunch on Sunday, November 3.
Right after the service in the Family Life Center
(gymnasium) from 12:15-1:00 p.m., we’ll be served a nice
lunch for the purpose of introducing all of the staff to you and
getting to know you better. Please sign up at the Welcome
Center so we can prepare enough food for all who plan to
attend. If you have questions, please contact the church

GETTING TO KNOW YOU—3 WEEK CLASS
On November 3, 10, and 17th, we are planning this 3-week
course for those who want to learn more about Parkside
Bible Church. We’ll be walking through our philosophy of
ministry and our doctrinal statement and will provide an
opportunity for newcomers to learn more about the
exciting things God is doing here.
This 3-week course is also required for those interested
in becoming members of the church.
The classes will meet on Sunday mornings during Family
Bible Hour from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Prayer Room off of
the Fireplace Community Room.
