I have put together a series of slide presentations about the Women’s Institutes as part of my final project for ADED 380 Teaching Technologies,. Their present format is as yet incomplete, however, they are for the most part finished in terms of being a demonstrative part of the project. With the help of Erland Lee, Adelaide Hoodless founded the Women’s Institutes as on off-shoot of the Framer’s Institute in 1897. Here we examine her live and her achievements in and out of the W.I. Did you know that Adelaide Hoodless was responsible for the bringing Domestic Science or Home Economics into schools? She wrote the book in 1898!
