formerly the capital of the Kingdom of Bohemia and Czechoslovakia. It is also the
capital of the region of Bohemia.

The museums offer rich collections. Among them,
the National Museum and the Jewish Museum in
Prague.
Prague has traditionally been one of the most
important cultural centers of Central Europe.
Currently, after the fall of communism, its tradition
and celebrates recovered hundreds of events such
as film festivals, music or literature. The operatic
drama and the city has a huge supply throughout
the year. Black Theatre, the National Theatre and
the National Ballet Theatre are some of the most
famous cultural attractions.
6. TOURISM
Prague is considered one of the most beautiful
cities in the world. In 2004 was the sixth most
visited European capital by tourists, second
only to London, Paris, Rome, Madrid and
Berlin. According to a recent study, was the
twenty-world city to receive tourists in 2006.
Most of the tourist attractions in the city are
concentrated in the neighborhoods that make
up the historical, ie: Hradcany, Mala Strana,
Stare Mesto and Nové Mesto.

9. WENCESLAO

the statue of St. Wenceslas, patron saint of
Bohemia. At one extreme is the National
Museum. Aside from being surrounded by
several landmark buildings, is the scene of
major political rallies in the city. It has been
the scene of the Prague Spring and the
start of the Velvet Revolution.

11. ST. VITUS CATHEDRAL
It is a temple dedicated to Catholic worship located in the city
of Prague (Czech Republic). Forms part of the monumental
artistic Prague Castle is the largest exhibition of Gothic art in
the city. Since 1989 dedicated to St. Vitus, St. Wenceslas and
St. Adalbert. It was the scene of the coronation of the kings of
Bohemia and buried it are also all the holy bishops and
archbishops and a number of kings. The cathedral, although
Catholic, is state-owned since the beginning of its construction
in the fourteenth century. It is the oldest Gothic cathedral in
Central Europe. In it are buried many Czech kings.
