2. WHAT’S ENERGY
CONSERVATION?
ENERGY CONSERVATION means reducing the
consumption of energy necessary for our needs
and our activites.
Alternative and renewable sources (the sun, the wind,
the sea and the heat of the earth) thanks to modern
technology are now available and they are an endless
source for future generations. If everyone of us starts
to produce energy with his own plant he’ll be able to
save money.
3. HEATING
• Development of district heating;
•More control on heat;
• add biogas in the net of distribution of natural gas;
COOLING
• increase the use of renewable sources:
in particular in building construction
4. CONSUMPTION OF FUEL IN
TRANSPORT
The energy needed for transport in Italy is now about 30% of
the total amount of the primary sources of energy.
In August 2010 the oil consumption has
decreased of 3.2% in relation to August
2005 and the total consumption has
been 6.5 tons crude oil.
• You should use your car as little as
possible and share it with other
people who have the same
destination.
5. ELECTRIC POWER
To obtain an adequate level it is necessary:
• an acceleration the developing times;
• a developmet od the systems of distribution network;
• an iprovement of the distribution network.

6. REDUCING
THE WASTE
Is the most important way of conserving energy, but we can also:
• turn off the light;
• turn off the electronic appliances;
• defrost the fridge;
• turn down the redietors if it’s too hot
without opening the windows;
• reduce draught from door and window
frames.
7. Final gross consumption of
energy and objectives for
renewable energy.
This is the situation in 2008 and the
objetives to achieve in 2020:
