Train the
Trainer
Case Study
Ian Weatherill MCT:what Ian said

The reason for pursuing the MCT was the ability to offer in house
training with pre made training kits and provide access to more
learning resources that can assist with my personal development.

I picked Sixth Level for several reasons: cost, availability, location,
scheduling of the course and the pre-course assistance provided by
Paula.

I have always felt uncomfortable standing in front of groups of
people and the thought of training people on a larger format (not 1-
2 people at a time) was always daunting. Attending the Train-The-
Trainer course has given me the confidence and skills needed to
tackle these situations. Sixth Level have provided me with solid
foundations to build upon over the next few years.

Paula is very passionate about training and personal skills
development and this enthusiasm shows throughout the course and
helps provide a “safe” learning environment to development new
skills especially when they are outside your normal comfort zone.

Many thanks for all your help
What we thought of Ian.

When Ian and I first spoke while
he was looking for his MCT
 Train the Trainer course, he
 admitted to being very nervous
 about training and the thought
of standing in front of people.

Over the three days in training,
 we saw Ian progress very
 quickly from “giving
 presentations” to running real
 training sessions, matching
 objectives to content. He has
every reason to feel proud of
 his achievements. The nerves
 no longer showed through, and
 his humour and approach are
 unique.
