2. Introduction
Computer and Internet are the most brilliant gifts of
Science. The importance of internet as an all pervasive
medium of the future has been well recognized. It provides
better way of communication and interaction.
As we all know that in present world every facility is
available on internet like shopping, banking etc. then why
not FIR Launching Facility also.

3. Purpose
In this present world of technology it is required to
construct a way by which Law and Justice is available
through computers to each and every citizen of the society.
This project is a contribution from our side by which it
becomes possible that our police department can help
people in a much better way.

4. Problem Statement
Many problems are faced by the people to launch FIR
manually:
 Much time and money is required.
 Hesitation, as some people think that going to police
station will affect their reputation.
 Fear of getting harm from people against whom FIR is
filing.
 Launching FIR against highly reputed person is
sometimes a difficult task.

7. Technology
Nowadays technology plays a vital role in our day to day life. Nothing can be done
without technology.
Technologies used in our website are HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
HTML- HTML is a Hypertext Mark up Language use to create and link web pages.
A markup language defines a set of rules that specified how the data is displayed on
the browser. The goal of HTML is to format and display data independent of
hardware and software platforms.
CSS- A Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) language specifies the formatting instructions
for the HTML elements. It separates the styles from the content, which simplifies the
maintenance of both the HTML contents and its formatting options. CSS provides
with different properties, which allow specifying styles for HTML contents.
JavaScript- JavaScript is a scripting language that generates dynamic content in
reaction to user’s action. JavaScript variables store the content, which can be
manipulated and displayed by using the JavaScript methods and functions.

8. Scope of Project
As this website provides better way of communication
between people and police department, hence we suppose that
this project has a greater scope and is important requirement
for the crime free society.

9. Future Application
Some applications might need to be added in the future like:
 Administrator Logins.
 Theft device tracking.
 Enhancement of multiple cities.

10. Abstract
This project entitled “ALIGARH POLICE DEPARTMENT” is
developed in Microsoft FrontPage 2003, one of the most
powerful tool for web designing. This website is helpful for
making our society crime free.
As a matter of fact this website is ready for enhancement
whenever new requirements or a need arises for the upliftment
of website. This website can easily be updated and modified to
fit the situation i.e. it is quite compatible.
