2. My Story
Sixteen years ago I lost 100lbs. I began by walking and
then working out at a gym. I then sought out Weight
Watchers and learned how to balance my nutrition.
Today I still practice this lifestyle, working out 5
sometimes 6 days a week, resting on Sundays.
I have since become a Fitness Instructor and a
marathon runner.
I’d like to persuade you all to see how important being
a good steward over your body helps you to be more
effective for Christ.
3. A Healthy Lifestyle has Rewards
A Healthy Lifestyle has many rewards:
It controls stress
Increases self esteem and confidence
Gives you more energy
Gives you an active body which aids in you sleeping
well.
4. A Healthy Lifestyle has benefits
Choosing to have a fit and healthy lifestyle has many
benefits:
It lowers the cost of Health Insurance and Life
Insurance.
It gives you a stronger immune system which reduces
the risk of Cancers.
It lowers the risk of mental disorders due to the fact
that you tap into those happy chemicals that your body
naturally make.
5. Deciding to Get Moving
My light bulb moment
Dinner at home one night with my family
God spoke to me- Go for your walk the cleanup can
wait.
Walking the neighborhood – 2 laps, 4 laps, working at
a gym, then joining weight watchers.
Learning how to portion my food and what food I
should eat.
6. Aids in other parts of Life
Increases and improves memory
Better posture and strengthens your bones
Look Better- Healthy weight and better skin
