This document discusses a 44-year-old female patient presenting with 10 days of right upper abdominal pain who is undergoing a lap cholecystectomy. She has a history of controlled hypertension but no other significant medical issues. Pre-operative labs and tests were normal. The patient was classified as ASA 2 with a 0.6% risk of mortality. She was scheduled for general anesthesia for the laparoscopic cholecystectomy to ensure haemodynamic stability, prevent pain and risk of aspiration during the procedure.
