12. • A controversial topic is proposed to create a debate.
• Children are asked to choose and defend one of the sides.
• The teacher explains the rules to be followed during the debate.
• Each group puts in common the different ideas for supporting their
thoughts in the following debate.
• The teacher runs the debate in which children from both sides explain their
points of view in order to convince the opposite group that their ideas are
better than the other’s.
• Each group get together to decide on a final point.
• Teacher gives the students the chance to change their position after having
listened to their classmates.
