STaR Chart <ul><li>Developed by the Texas Education Agency Educational Technology Advisory Committee (ETAC). </li></ul><ul><li>An online resource tool for self-assessment of campus’ and districts’ efforts to effectively integrate technology across the curriculum. </li></ul><ul><li>Serves as a standard for assessing technology preparedness in Texas K-12 schools. </li></ul><ul><li>Aligned with the new Long-Range Plan for Technology, 2006-2010 . </li></ul>

Texas Campus STaR Chart <ul><li>A tool designed for use in technology planning, budgeting for resources and evaluation of progress in local technology projects. </li></ul><ul><li>A basis for dialogue with staff, administrators, technology directors, school board members and community leaders to plan future growth. </li></ul><ul><li>Used to report on progress toward fulfilling the requirements in No Child Left Behind, Title II, Part D . </li></ul><ul><li>No Child Left Behind requires that all students be technology literate by the end of eighth grade. </li></ul>

The Texas Campus STaR Chart will help schools identify their educational technology needs as they apply for grants. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>To determine funding priorities. Education administrators and policymakers can use the Texas Campus STaR Chart to determine where to allocate funds. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>To track progress on use of No Child Left Behind Title II, Part D formula and discretionary funds </li></ul></ul>
