Educational Technology?
• Educational technology is a wide field.
Therefore, one can find many definitions, some
of which are conflicting.
• Educational technology can be considered
either as a design science or as a collection of
different research interests addressing
fundamental issues of learning, teaching and
social organization
Educational Technology?
• Educational Technology is also deals in
integrating Technology Teaching and Learning.
• Educational technology is the use of technology
to improve education.
• Educational Technology is that it is a
systematic, iterative process for designing
instruction or training used to improve
performance.

•The study and ethical practice of
facilitating learning and improving
performance by creating, using and
managing appropriate technological
processes and resources.

• To provide confidence to educators that they
are taking the right steps in adopting technology
in education, it is good to know that during the
last few years, progressive countries in the Asian
Pacific region have formulated state policies
and strategies to infuse technology In school.

• And since it is understood that the state policies
will continue to change, it is helpful to examine
prevailing ICT policies and strategies of five
progressive states/city, namely; New Zealand,
Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong
Kong.

outcomes for students using ICT to support the
curriculum. And they focus in infrastructure for
increasing schools access to ICTs to enhance

Australia (EdNa) as the coordinating and

Through computer technology, educators
saw the amplification of learning along with
computer literacy. Much Like reading, the
modern student can now interact with computer
messages; even respond to questions or to
computer commands. Again like writing, the
learner can form messages using computer
language or program.

          The computer is one of the wonders of
human ingenuity; even in its original design in the
1950’s to carry out complicated mathematical and
logical operations. With the invention of the
microcomputer , the PC has become the tool for
programmed information.

•Educational technology is very important
in our learning. It can help us how to do
work easily. But we cannot rely on
technology everytime. If we rely on it the
tendency will be the students are being
lazy.

•I also learn that technology is important
because it improves are skills and it gives
us more knowledge in many aspects.
•Mobile technology allows for greater
collaboration between students promoting
strong foundations in group work.

•The kids seem to really enjoy it and are
excited about using it. Those interested in
embracing technology need to educate
themselves on what’s out there.

•There are many software application that
we can used to help us in our studies. But
most of the time I used Ms word and Ms
powerpoint.
•I learn that it is important for us, as a
future educator we have to learn how to
use technology.

•As a future educator, we need to study
how technology integrate in teaching and
learning process. Because in the future the
students will be engaged in technology.
The Students after Edtc
•They will be able to do their works easily.
By just using technology. They can search,
chat, and make presentation in their
gadgets. But we need to tell them that
don’t rely on technology always because it
is not always there for them.

•Similarly students who use technology are
motivated to improve performance.
•I simply see it as an important tool to help
the education process and prepare
students for the future.

  • 3. The Student ! !! Hello!! My name is Rhea Mae G. Salvacion. 18 years of age. From Pulo, Indang, Cavite. A third year student taking up Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Early Childhood Education at Cavite State University.
  • 5. Educational Technology? • Educational technology is a wide field. Therefore, one can find many definitions, some of which are conflicting. • Educational technology can be considered either as a design science or as a collection of different research interests addressing fundamental issues of learning, teaching and social organization
  • 6. Educational Technology? • Educational Technology is also deals in integrating Technology Teaching and Learning. • Educational technology is the use of technology to improve education. • Educational Technology is that it is a systematic, iterative process for designing instruction or training used to improve performance.
  • 7. Educational Technology? •The study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources.
  • 8. Educational Technology in Asia Pacific Region • To provide confidence to educators that they are taking the right steps in adopting technology in education, it is good to know that during the last few years, progressive countries in the Asian Pacific region have formulated state policies and strategies to infuse technology In school.
  • 9. Educational Technology in Asia Pacific Region • And since it is understood that the state policies will continue to change, it is helpful to examine prevailing ICT policies and strategies of five progressive states/city, namely; New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
  • 10. Educational Technology in Asia Pacific Region New Zealand Their strategy is to improve learning outcomes for students using ICT to support the curriculum. And they focus in infrastructure for increasing schools access to ICTs to enhance education.
  • 11. Educational Technology in Asia Pacific Region •Australia The plans for achieving the national goal for IT are left to individual states and territories with Educational Network Australia (EdNa) as the coordinating and advisory body.
  • 12. Educational Technology in Asia Pacific Region • Malaysia Technology plays many roles in Smart school from facilitating teaching-and-learning activities to assisting with school management. • Hong Kong Government raises the quality of school education by promoting the use of IT in teaching and learning. 
  • 13. Higher Thinking Skills through IT Based Project I.   RESOURCE-BASED PROJECTS • The teacher steps out of the traditional role of being an context expert and information provider, and instead lets the students find their own facts and information. II.   SIMPLE CREATIONS • In developing software, creativity as an outcome should not be equated with ingenuity or high intelligence. Creating is more consonant with planning, making, assembling, designing or building.
  • 14. Higher Thinking Skills through IT Based Project III.  GUIDED HYPERMEDIA PROJECTS • The production of self-made multimedia projects IV. WEB-BASED PROJECTS •  It should be said, however, that posting of web pages in the Internet allows the students (now the web page creator) a wider audience.
  • 15. Computer as Information and Communication Through computer technology, educators saw the amplification of learning along with computer literacy. Much Like reading, the modern student can now interact with computer messages; even respond to questions or to computer commands. Again like writing, the learner can form messages using computer language or program.
  • 16. The Computer as a Tutor           The computer is one of the wonders of human ingenuity; even in its original design in the 1950’s to carry out complicated mathematical and logical operations. With the invention of the microcomputer , the PC has become the tool for programmed information.
  • 17. The Computer as a Tutor CAISimulation Programs             Simulation software materials are another kind of software that is constructivist in nature. Instructional Games       While relation to low-level learning objectives (e.g. basic spelling or math skills), instructional computer games add the elements of competition and challenge.

The Computer as a Tutor CAI Problem Solving Software These are  more sophisticated than the drill and practice exercises and allow students to learn and improve on their problem solving ability Multimedia Encyclopedia and Electronic Books The Multimedia Encyclopedia can store a huge database with texts, images, animation, audio and video..

  • 23. Learning through Edtc 1 and 2 •Educational technology is very important in our learning. It can help us how to do work easily. But we cannot rely on technology everytime. If we rely on it the tendency will be the students are being lazy.
  • 24. Learning through Edtc 1 and 2 •I also learn that technology is important because it improves are skills and it gives us more knowledge in many aspects. •Mobile technology allows for greater collaboration between students promoting strong foundations in group work.
  • 25. Learning through Edtc 1 and 2 •The kids seem to really enjoy it and are excited about using it. Those interested in embracing technology need to educate themselves on what’s out there.
  • 26. Learning through Edtc 1 and 2 •There are many software application that we can used to help us in our studies. But most of the time I used Ms word and Ms powerpoint. •I learn that it is important for us, as a future educator we have to learn how to use technology.
  • 27. Learning through Edtc 1 and 2 •As a future educator, we need to study how technology integrate in teaching and learning process. Because in the future the students will be engaged in technology.
  • 28. The Students after Edtc •They will be able to do their works easily. By just using technology. They can search, chat, and make presentation in their gadgets. But we need to tell them that don’t rely on technology always because it is not always there for them.
  • 29. The Students after Edtc •Similarly students who use technology are motivated to improve performance. •I simply see it as an important tool to help the education process and prepare students for the future.
  • 30. The Students after Edtc •Technology gives students immediate access to information which leads to learning at quick than before.
  • 31. “Feel free to share these views, additional knowledge or clarify doubts you may have on the relation of education and technology.”
