People have a fundamental need for social interaction which is fulfilled through social groups. While the means of social connection have evolved significantly over the last 10 years through expanded social networks and digital communication tools, allowing for greater connectivity globally, the human need for social interaction itself has remained fundamentally the same and cannot be replaced by technology alone.
