There are two common methods to fillet and clean a flounder. In this slideshow I will introduce you two three videos that shows you both methods that I found on YouTube.
1. I GIGGED A FLOUNDER NOW
WHAT?
HOW TO CLEAN YOUR FLOUNDER
2. TWO METHODS
There are two methods that I am
going to show you today on how to
fillet your founder to get it ready for
the dinner table. Some people like to
gut the flounder and stuff it before
gilling or baking the flounder but for
most people they like to fillet the
flounder for grilling, baking or frying.
In the next two slides I will show you
three videos that really capture the
best ways to fillet the flounder.
3. METHOD ONE
This is really an easy way for a
beginner to fillet a flounder. I will
admit this is the way that I learned to
fillet a flounder and still do a times,
especially when I really miss up with
method two. Check out the video
made by Malak at Modern Pawn from
YouTube.
4. METHOD TWO
Here Captain Vincent Russo really
makes it look easy but he also does a
great job at taking his time and
showing you how to properly fillet a
flounder and get the most of it. The
key for me is to make sure that you
have a sharp fillet knife. Here is uses
two different knives to complete the
process but for most of us we just
have a real good fillet knife in the
kitchen.
5. 15 SECOND FILLET
Same method as method two but
much faster. Chasin’ Tail TV did a
great job at showing how a person
can have it down and it is a great way
to see how fast you can get it done
with a little bit of practice.
