Mrs. Roussell's classroom newsletter outlines the upcoming week's assignments in reading, writing, spelling, and math. Students will compare and contrast characters, create an "I Know It's Fall When" book, learn unit 9 spelling words and place value up to the hundreds thousands place. Parents are reminded to check the class blog, assignment books, and parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for October 21st and 22nd. The newsletter also lists important upcoming dates and recognizes students Easton Hanks and Jade Heniff.

This Week’s Assignments
Reading – This week in Reading we will be talking about comparing and contrasting
characters as well as character traits.
Writing – We will be looking at the book I Know Its Fall When. We will then use the
book to create our own I Know Its Fall When book.
Spelling – Students will be given Unit 9 Spelling words for the week. Grammar
practice will be due Thursday. They will be tested over the words on Thursday.
Math – We will be moving on to place value. We will be talking about place value to
the hundred thousands.
Social Studies - We are moving back into Social Studies where we will be focusing on
economics.
Reminders to Parents
1. Remember to check the blog for new pictures and updates.
2. Check your child’s assignment book nightly and ask them about their day at school.
3. Parent Teacher Conferences will be Tuesday, Oct. 20 and Wednesday, Oct. 21.
