succeeded in defining Principles and Criteria for the certification of
sustainable production of palm oil.

14.30 - 16.00 Market Expectations of Certified Palm Oil.
Supply and demand analysis for sustainable palm oil production and
the expectations of growth from a market that demands products and
services that respect the environment and communities. The necessity
for Latin American countries to adopt global standards and maintain
open markets for palm oil. Real experiences from successful
companies that currently have RSPO Certification in the region.

Presentation of procedures for the responsible development of new oil
palm plantations ensuring environmental protection and the free, prior
and informed consent of local communities. Will be also addressed the

renewable energy production. Case studies of analysis of the compost
production as a reduction of greenhouse gases effect and the benefits

Agricultural and environmental practices for the cultivation of palm oil
