CLASP works to improve energy efficiency and sustainability of appliances and equipment globally. It develops energy efficiency standards and labeling programs to accelerate markets for high-efficiency products. Some key activities include establishing minimum energy performance standards, comparative and endorsement labels to inform consumer choices, and incentives to promote efficient technologies. CLASP has helped avoid over 1,000 Mt CO2 emissions through policies implemented in countries such as China, India, Brazil, and across Europe. It supports over 25 national governments to develop and strengthen appliance standards and labeling programs.
