• I think I successfully made visual links

• The third link would be Ava’s red hair. I
emphasised her red hair through editing on
photoshop also on my ancillary products I
used the colour red. The reason I did this was
because her red hair is so prominent the same
way the red makes my ancillary products pop
out.

How will the audience recognise them
as linked products?
• My audience can recognise them as linked
products because my artist is visible on all of
the products. She looks the same on all of
them.

Elements of real digipaks in my work
I used a barcode, the Sony logo and
copy right information which
would all be seen on a real digipak.
The spine of my album had a
unique numeric code and the
album name and the artist name.
I have an image of my artist on
the front of my album. Along
with the album name and the
artists name which is larger
than the album name.

Examples of work that influenced me
These are a few albums that influenced me and helped me understand the
conventions of a real album. The dubstep album showed me that its not all
about the artist so on the inside of my album on the cd I added an artist touch
by writing all the lyrics on the CD. Rihanna’s album showed me that a
convention of an album is to have the artists picture. And Olly’s album showed
me that for less known artists you must also have the artists name.

• Overall I believe my video and ancillary
products were successful in a sense that they
looked good. As my genre was dubstep I didn’t
have many products to compare mine
to, however in general as a music video and
advertisement and digipak they came out
really well. If I could change one thing would
be that I would have added a few patterns on
my work just to make it a little artistic as I’ve
seen a few dubstep products have that.

• I believe my target audience will be attracted
to my products as it will be different to what
they’ve seen. As dubstep songs don’t have a
video to go along with it as its more about the
song, my video has a video without taking
attention away from the actual music. Also as
Ava Manhattan is a young and fresh face this
will make her more interesting for the young
men!
