  1. 1. Leadership in Action Every business needs effective leaders. People who can aspire and motivate your workforce to achieve your objectives. Leadership in Action training will help your people develop the skills and confidence to lead and manage other employees. Learners will work on a project covering a real business issue, embedding the learning and producing immediate benefits for your business. For eligible organisations, it is being fully funded by the european Social Fund so there is no cost to you. Following this training, your business will have the ability to: • • • • • Who is Leadership in Action suitable for? Anyone within your organisation who leads or manages people, at any level. They will work on a live business issue throughout the training, so they learn by doing and will deliver real business benefits. If you have more than seven people, Leadership in Action can be delivered exclusively within your company, or you can access open courses with other local businesses. Both options offer unique benefits and we will work with you to ensure you get the best for your business.   2. 2. The learning in detail Leadership in Action training delivers instant change through a defined workplace project. The majority of the learning for this programme will be ‘one the job’, as the assessed elements focus on workplace activities which are designed to directly add value to your organisation. Learners can choose to work at their own pace, and in their own time, in order to complete the programme. Progression If acceditation is important, you have the option to extend the programme at a cost by one additional workshop and workbook, which will result in a nationally recognised ILM Accredited Certificate in Leadership and Management (Level 3). Alternatively, learners can complete an ILM Accredited Higher Level Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management (Level 5). Some funding may be avaliable towards this apprenticeship depending on eligibility. How much time do workers need to be released for and commit to? Leadership in Action training is designed to be completed over 22 weeks, during which learners will be required to attend four full day workshops, scheduled at monthly intervals. Learners will also be required to spend an average of 2-4 hours a week to complete all other elements of the programme. Online tutorial support will also be provided to enable learners to discuss matters relating to the progress of assessed elements.
