FINAL ESSAY • An essay in the form of a literature review (developing a conceptual model or a research agenda) or a case study (including comparative studies, mapping existing applications) • Individual or in groups of two • Topic: digital government, disruptive technologies in the public sector • Deadline for the final submission: 30 September 2020 • Content-requirements: At least 15 scientific papers • Technical requirements: 6.000 – 8.000 words including references, figures and tables • Alternative • Assess the Interoperability Academy course and material. Provide feedback to the ISA2 team

ESSAY ASSESSMENT • 20 points - relevance (relevance of the topic for the school, well defined research question and objectives) • 10 points – literature background (related work; fits the purpose and helps to answer your particular research question) • 20 points - methodology (literature review; research design; case study) • 20 points - analysis (here we assess whether the paper is analytical or simply descriptive. It should be analytical) • 20 points – results • 10 points - references/structure/grammar/style (you need to have at least 15 academic papers in your essay) • Maximum of 100 points
  8. 8. OUTLINE AND PRESENTATION • 1-2 pager outline • Deadline: 11 August 2020 • Send to the supervisors • The outline should include the introduction of your topic, the design of the literature review (structure and concepts) and the method
