Using excel to calculate permutations and combination formulas
1. USING EXCEL TO CALCULATE PERMUTATIONS AND COMBINATION FORMULAS
PERMUTATIONS
1. Click on Formula in Tool Bar
2. Click on Insert Function
3. Type permut in search window, click GO
4. Click on PERMUT
5. Click OK
6. Type your N in the Number window (e.g. 7)
7. Type your r in the Number_Chosen window, answer is “210”.
2. COMBINATION
1. Click on Formula in Tool Bar
2. Click on Insert Function
3. Type combin in search window, click GO
4. Click on COMBIN
5. Click OK
6. Type your N in the Number window (e.g. 7)
7. Type your r in the Number_Chosen window, answer is “35”.
