face encounter
with God?

Introduction
• In the OLD TESTAMENT, the SPIRIT of the
LORD often came upon PROPHETS
(Numbers 11:25; 24:2; 1 Samuel 10:10; 11:6;
16:13; 19:23; 2 Chronicles 15:1-7; 24:20). In
this way, GOD would USE them in UNIQUE
WAY to DELIVER HIS WORD and confirm
SIGNS and WONDERS. SAMUEL was the
LAST of the JUDGES and the FIRST of the
LINE of PROPHETS. Not only do we see the
beginning of the PROPHETIC office in
SAMUEL, we also see the beginning of the
KINGLY office, or the monarchy in Israel.

Introduction
• It was the PROPHET SAMUEL who ANOINTED
both SAUL and DAVID to their KINGLY ministry.
Most of the KINGS of Israel and Judah had a
PROPHET of GOD sent to them. There is a
DISTINCT RELATIONSHIP between the
PROPHETS and the KINGS. God’s purpose
was to INFLUENCE the GOVERNMENT of the
NATION as a whole through the KING by
means of the PROPHETIC word. The
PROPHET represented the WORD of the LORD
to the KINGS, and the KINGS were to
DECREE, DECLARE, and JUDGE according to
their acceptance or rejection of the
PROPHETIC word.

Introduction
• In previous periods, men inquired of God through
the PRIEST, but now additional inquiry of God was
available through the PROPHET. Combined with
the KINGS, these THREE OFFICES became a
WITNESS or TESTIMONY of the LORD God. “The
testimony of JESUS is the Spirit of prophecy”
(Revelation 19:10). The SPIRIT of PROPHECY is
the HOLY SPIRIT’S ability to COME UPON men
and CAUSE them to SPEAK forth inspired
utterances or REPORT of the GLORY and
GREATNESS of GOD. The word “TESTIMONY”
(martyria) means “EVIDENCE, witness, REPORT,
record”. The SPIRIT of PROPHECY is the
EVIDENCE and /or REPORT of the LORD JESUS
Christ.

Introduction
• The SPIRIT of PROPHECY was evident in the
Godly line from Adam to Moses. Adam prophesied
concerning His Bride and the Marriage estate,
typifying the Marriage of the Lamb (Genesis 2:20-
25; Revelation 19:1-10). Enoch prophesied of the
Second Coming of Christ (Jude 14-15). Noah was
a preacher of righteousness because the Spirit of
Christ was in him (2 Peter 2:5; Hebrews 11:7; 1
Peter 3:20). Abraham was spoken of as a Prophet
(Genesis 20:7). Isaac and Jacob had the Spirit of
Prophecy upon them as they blessed their sons
(Genesis 27; 48; 49; Hebrews 11:20-21; Psalm
105:9-15). Joseph prophesied of the Exodus from
Egypt (Genesis 50:24; Hebrews 11:22).

Introduction
• At times the SPIRIT of PROPHECY fell upon
groups of people. In Numbers 11:24-30 the LORD
took of the SPIRIT that was upon MOSES and
placed it upon seventy of the elders of Israel and
they prophesied. In 1 Samuel 19:20-24; 10:10 the
SPIRIT of PROPHECY fell upon several groups of
messengers, as well as upon King Saul. However,
Saul was not among the PROPHETS, but came
under the SPIRIT of PROPHECY. PROPHECY
was the evidence of the SPIRIT coming on people
in the Old Testament. So the SPIRIT of
PROPHECY falls in meetings at times on New
Testament believers, especially in places where
the people DESIRE to and LOVE to HOST the
PRESENCE of GOD.

Notice, ELIJAH appeared in
Matthew 17 on the MOUNT of
TRANSFIGURATION with
Moses and JESUS. JESUS
revealed TWO TRUTHS to the
apostles:

1) ELIJAH HAD
ALREADY COME in the
person of John the
Baptist, fulfilling the
predictions of the
prophet Malachi
(Malachi 3:1; 4;5-6).

2) ELIJAH WOULD COME and
“RESTORE” ALL THINGS in and
through an end-time prophetic
people (the CORPORATE Elijah
ministry). The word “RESTORE”
(apokathistemi) means “to
reconstitute (in health, home or
organization) or to restore to its
former state.” It is also used to
speak of financial restitution, the
replacing of broken stones, or the
reclamation of land (Matthew 12:13).

ELIJAH SHALL COME as a
CORPORATE ministry (Malachi 4:5-
6; Matthew 17:11; Luke 1:16-17).
The CORPORATE PROPHETIC
ELIJAH MINISTRY is primarily one
of RESTORATION. On a basic level,
it can point to the ASCENSION
GIFTS (Ephesians 4:11), called and
sent to RESTORE and REPAIR the
home and the family, and to equip
the saints in the local church.

The CORPORATE PROPHETIC
ELIJAH MINISTRY is an end-time
prophetic ministry (in the
principle of John the Baptist)
who PRECEDE the manifestation
of the many-membered
OVERCOMING SON, and the
literal COMING of the LORD
JESUS.

The MOSES-ELIJAH MINISTRY of
Revelation 11:3-4 is paralleled by the
TWO SONS of OIL, the ANOINTED
ONES that are mentioned in Zechariah
4:2-3,11-14. Likewise, the attributes of
ELIJAH’S (and ELISHA’S) ministry will
be revealed in the Corporate
OVERCOMER or MAN-CHILD
COMPANY who receive the MANTLE
(ANOINTING) of JESUS- in similar
principle, ELISHA did the “greater
works” (John 14:12) of ELIJAH.

This anointed PROPHETIC
PEOPLE (the Moses-Elijah
Company) is also revealed by
the TWO PILLARS of the Temple
(1 Kings 7:15-22), showing
JESUS and the OVERCOMER,
the FULL BROTHERS of whom
He is not ashamed (Romans
8:14-23; Hebrews 2:6-13).

The SUMMARY of the
ELIJAH-JOHN THE
BAPTIST Ministry, a
ministry which operated
through PRAYER and
OBEDIENCE:

•It is a ministry of
RESTORATION, in particular
that of the HOME and the
FAMILY- the SONS OF THE
PROPHETS (Malachi 4:5-6).

REPENTANCE. This has to
do with the RENEWING of the
MIND- the SALVATION OF
THE SOUL (1 Kings 18:21;
Matthew 3:1-2).

REFORMATION- the
STRAIGHTENING (leveling;
make true or upright) OF THE
PATH (Isaiah 40:3-5; Matthew
3:3).

•It is a ministry of REAL
ANSWERS- the SOLUTION
TO THE PROBLEM is the
WORD and the SPIRIT (the
AXE is laid to the root and
every idol is burned with
FIRE) (1 Kings 18:24;
Matthew 3:10).

Pray specifically for
divine setup where the
Spirit of God has the
opportunity to use you
mightily to accomplish
something supernatural
and impossible.

Ask the Holy Spirit
to give you a word
of empowerment
and identity for
someone in this
room.

Conclusion
• The Church in this hour is entering a NEW
DIMENSION. Christ is preparing His Body to
receive the coming waves of God’s glory. The
prophetic “ELIJAH GENERATION” will arise also
in the Last Days to prepare the way for His
Second Coming. It will be a “faceless” generation
in the sense that there will be not only highly
visible leaders or “point” people who have
incredible encounters with God; but God will also
place His PROPHETIC PRESENCE on an
ENTIRE GENERATION. These people will walk in
holiness and absolute surrender to Him, enjoying
face-to-face intimacy with Him to an
unprecedented degree.

Conclusion
• Yes, an ENTIRE GENERATION of RADICAL
WARRIORS shall arise! The ELIJAH
MINISTRY of RESTORATION,
REPENTANCE, REFORMATION, and REAL
ANSWERS is a ministry of FIRE (mentioned
FIVE times in 1 Kings 18). FIRE is a symbol
for the WORD OF GOD and the SPIRIT OF
GOD, as well as purification, trials, judgment,
and angels. FIRE is the combustion of
flammable materials, and often appears as a
symbol of God’s holy presence and power.
These are THE DAYS of ELIJAH!
