2. *ROOM 1&2 DENİZ AND
FRANCESCA(EXAMPLE STORY)
• Our dream holiday to London
FIRST PART by Francesca Balatti
Deniz Sengul and me were having a wonderful time at FSI, but we had decided to take a
weekend off and visit our favourite destination, London, the capital of the English-speaking
world (you know, we are teachers of English..).
We have been really close friends for three years now, and meeting on FSI has been an
amazing occasion, but we wanted to enjoy some special time on our own, to get to know
each other better and better.
Therefore, we set off on holiday to London on a Friday evening.
First, we had to reach Palermo, and as FSI can only be accessed by boat, we took the
ferry from there to Palermo, Sicily, in the late afternoon. It was quite a short journey, but it
seemed too long to us, so much eager to reach London were we! In Palermo, a taxi took us
to the airport. We knew that the plane was at 21.30, and we would have arrived well into the
night at Stansted, but we wanted to spend as much as possible of our weekend visiting
London attractions, so we needed to be there for Saturday morning!
The flight was quite uneventful, except for some turbulences over the Alps (for which I,
Francesca, am still frightened, I’m a sissy when faced with flying..) and after 3 hours, here
we were.. in London, finally!
We were really tired and decided to go straight to the hotel we had booked a week earlier,
The Diplomat Hotel, a historical palace in the district of Belgravia, a short distance from
central London.

3. • On Saturday morning, we woke up early and decided to have a full English breakfast
at the hotel, tasting bacon and eggs, some black pudding that I didn’t appreciate,
sausages and a fabulous orange marmalade with toast and tea.
• Then off we went! We decided to walk to our main destination: Buckingham Palace.
We had agreed to pay for a short tour inside (because the Queen was on holiday the
State Rooms were open to public) therefore we followed the queue and got entrance in
about half an hour.. it was really worth it! After the visit we were also able to catch a
glimpse of the Ceremony of the Changing of the Guards.. they are really amusing for
our modern times!
• Once outside, we strolled along St. James’s Park and reached the Big Ben and
Westminster Palace. In a stall nearby we took some fish and chips and then sat on a
bench overlooking the Thames.
• In the early afternoon we got on the Tube and went to the City, I wanted to have a
picture with Deniz taken on the stairs that lead to St. Paul’s Cathedral, like in old Mary
Poppins’ films! But what I really wanted to see was Shakespeare’s Globe, therefore we
crossed the Millennium Bridge and we could see it from a distance, before arriving
there. Fortunately we could join a guided tour ready to start, and we loved to be
brought back to Shakespearean times and theatres, try on costumes and appear on
the stage...we had a lot of fun! It’s a pity we couldn’t see the play at 5pm, the seats had
already been booked full.
• Now it was time to go back to the hotel and change for our night out..

4. • SECOND PART BY Deniz Şengül
• Although, we walked all day, we didn’t feel tired. We changed our clothes and
set off to Shoreditch. There was a famous night club called ‘Cargo’ there.
Before partying,we tasted different street food. The music and the atmosphere
were great there. We danced all night. Francesca was really good at dancing.
We even danced the traditional dance of FSI. We came back to hotel at 2 am we
had to sleep because we would need energy for tommorow but we couldnt
sleep because we couldn’t stop laghing and chatting. Finally, we fell asleep.
• We woke up early and had our breakfast at the hotel. English style, cereal with
milk. Interestingly, I and Francesca were feeling energetic. We had lots of plans
for today. We wanted to visit London Eye, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar
Square and National Gallery. We also wanted to go famous big markets of
London to buy souvenir for our students. We got on the tube and went directly
to the London Eye. There was a long queue. We didn’t want to wait so we
bought fast track tickets. When I got in the capsule, I started to feel frightened.
It was a huge ferrish wheel. It was 135m high. I have never liked high places.
Luckily, Francesca didn’t have acrophobia. She held my hand and made feel
comfortable.

5. • Unfortunately it started to rain so we decided to go National Gallery. London's
National Gallery represents an almost complete survey of European painting
from 1260 until 1920. It was amazing. When we left there, we saw that it stop
raining. We walked to Trafalgar Square and Piccadially Circus, which were
close to National Gallery. On the way, we sang songs and chatted. Trafalgar
Square was built to commemorate Lord Horatio Nelson's victory over the
French and Spanish at Trafalgar in 1805. As we were walking through the busy
streets of Piccadilly, Regent, Haymarket, and Shaftesbury Avenue, it started to
rain again. We were planning to go Alfis Antique Market but it was impossible
to shop there under this heavy rain so we changed our destination to Old
Spitalfields Market which is a popular covered market selling everything from
clothes to food to artwork. We bought lots of souvenirs from there. At the end
of the day we were soaked to the skin and exhausted. We went to the hotel and
changed our clothes. We went out and ate fish and chips again. At a café, we
drank tea and ate Banoffee pie. We turned back to the hotel and went to our
beds. We were really tired. We slept early. We were old ladies after all.

6. *ROOM 3:MATTEO-FILIPPO-ALESSIO AND
UĞUR:
First part by Uğur:
Me and my roommates , we planned a holiday.We went to New York and
stayed at Kimpton Hotel for 345$.We visited Statue Of Liberty,it was so
crowded there.We ate Brunch
at breakfast.İt was so delicious.We walked on Times Square and we took a
photo with Live Statue Man.We ate Donut for snack.We went to Empire State
Building for
beautiful view.After then we went Central Park and we ate Hotdog there.We
rode bicycle at Central Park and we had fun.We ate delicious pizza at
Kiabacca Pizza bar.
We went back to hotel.We had great day.
Second part by Filippo, Alessio and Matteo
The second day we went to visit the AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL
HISTORY the location of “One night at the museum”!!
It was so beautiful we saw a lot of historical animals like: fossils of dinosaurs,
mammoth and the recoNstruction of the blue whale.
We stayed all the morning at the museum, for lunch we ate a delicious
hamburger at the “Heartland Brewery Chophouse” then we went to see New
York Knicks play against Los angeles Lakers, it was a basketball match at the
Madison Square Garden in the centre of Manhattan.
In the evening, we were tired and we packed our suitcases because the next
day we would go home

7. *ROOM 4. MATTEO-MARCO-LORENZO AND
EMIRHAN:
• OUR DREAM HOLIDAY TO BARCELONA, SPAIN
FIRST PART by MATTEO, MARCO and LORENZO
Last weekend we, Matteo, Marco, Lorenzo and Emirhan started from Film Studio
Island by boat and we arrived to Athens. From there we took the plane and we went to
Barcelona in Spain, once landed we went to the hotel Eurostars Ramblas, a nice hotel
in the Gothic quarter of the town, also near the port.
When we got to our room we needed to rest because the journey had been tiring. We
then went out to eat and went to visit Park Guell, a famous park with colorful
architectural buildings and plenty of vegetation and birds.
After this visit we returned to the hotel and we ate a dish with meat and potatoes that
was very good. In the afternoon we decided to go to the stadium, whose name is Camp
Nou, and we watched a match between Barcelona and Sivilia. Barcelona won 3 to 1!
Lorenzo was very happy, he’s a football fanatic!
After the match we went to eat the “canelones de verdura” at El Salon, they are crepes
rolled with a vegetable stuffing.
After dinner we visited the center of Barcelona, we went to a pub for a drink, then we
took a taxi back to the hotel.
At hotel we went to the bar because Matteo wanted to take a herbal tea, than we went
to the room and we washed, we watched tv and we went to bed.

8. • SECOND PART by Emirhan
• On the 2nd day was , we woke up early in the morning and we had
breakfast. We ate a very tasty Tortilla for breakfast. After breakfast, we
went out for a walk. We went to Barcelonata Beach which is very popular
in Barcelona. When Marco and Lorenzo swam in the sea, I and Matteo had
something to drink in the bar and then we joined them. We
rented bicycles after we stayed at the beach for about an hour. We visited
an old arena, the Plaça d’Espanya. We were hungry and we ate Calamares
al Andalus. It was so delicious. After dinner we went to Tibidabo
Amusement park. It was very glamorous and fun. I, Marco ,Lorenzo and
Matteo enjoyed a lot at the amusement park when especially rollercoster
was great fun. We spent most of the day there. We tried all the
things there. We returned to the hotel in the evening and had dinner. We
ate Pulp a la gallega and we drank Sangria. Sangria had a very sweet taste.
We heard that there was a water show in front of the National Catalan
Museum at the night, and we went there to watch it. It was very excited but
short. We went back to the hotel and watched TV and slept.

9. *ROOM 5:SARA-LARA AND AYSU:
• THE FIRST PART WRITTEN BY AYSU.
• Sara and Lara were great girls. I was happy to be with them. We got along well. On
Friday , we decided to do something different and to go to Saravejo.The trip was not
so long from FSI. We first went to Turkey by boat. When we reached Turkey I
realised I missed it a lot. We took a taxi and went to Atatürk Airport. Sara and Lara
impressed a lot from Istanbul. They promised to come to Turkey after the course on
FSI had finished. The flight took an hour and 15 minutes. It was almost two oclock
when we finally reached there. After leaving our bags at the hotel,first we went to
Slotko Coje cafe to drink coffee and get some energy. The first place we went was
Monstar bridge. We learned that the famous bridge on the River Neretva was
designed by the Ottoman (Turkish) architect Mimar Hayruddin on the orders of
Suleyman the Magnificent. It symbolises the peace. We took photos and selfies on
the bridge. After that we went too Big Baazar, on the way, Sara spotted
artificial blood trails. We asked one of the people what these trails meant. He
explained us that they were the blood of the people who were killed in genocide. We
became sad after the things we heard about the genocide. It was time to eat
something. The man recommended us Bistro Avlina for dinner. The meat and Manti
was famous there. We enjoyed the meal very much. It was delicious. Lara said this
manti resembled our Carbomanti on FSI.. We walked on the Street of Sarajova and
took photos. At the end of the day, My feed were burning. As soon as we went to
hotel, we took a shower and went to bed. We needed energy for tomorrow

10. • SECOND PART BY SARA AND LARA
• The next morning to relax we went to the spa. In the afternoon we went to
the hotel restaurant and we ate a pizza with donner. Lara likes donner a
lot. The next morning we decided to take a plane to Atene, we decided to
go there because it s a very interesting city and also on the way back to the
FSI.
• After the landing we went to the hotel, to leave our bags. After we went to
visit the acropolis, the most famous area of Athens, here Aysu took lots of
photos and Sara bought a lot of souvenirs. For lunch we went to a small
typical restaurant to eat Souvlaki, Gyros Pita and Melitzanosalata. Lara
really likes Souvlaki. In the afternoon we visited Partenone, it was exiting
to see it live. Subsequently we went back to the hotel and went to our room
to rest a little bit.
• The next morning and Sara and me went in the city because Aysu was not
very well due to a bit of food poisoning. In the afternoon Aysu was better
so we took the ferry back to FSI. We enjoyed this journey a lot.

11. *ROOM 6:MARTA-TAMARA AND GÜLCE:
• OUR DREAM HOLIDAY IN LOS ANGELES
•
FIRST PART by MARTA and TAMARA
Me, Marta and Gulce had met on Film Studio Island and decided to visit Los Angeles last
Friday, we wanted to spend a weekend there because we have always seen it in the movies
and we wanted to see if it is how we imagined it.
Many people advised us and we followed their advice.
We took the boat from FSI to Palermo, and then a flight from Palermo to Milan.We arrived at
Milan Malpensa airport in the morning, and then we flew to Los Angeles in the afternoon.
The flight was very long, we arrived late at night and after that we were very tired so we
went to the hotel and we slept.
The hotel was the Loews Hollywood Hotel, a four star hotel, it was very beautiful and
luxurious and it had a pool too.
The next day we woke up early in the morning because we didn’t want to waste time and we
had a typical American breakfast at Starbucks and after that we took a picture with the
Hollywood sign, it seemed to be in a movie, it was amazing!
We had lunch at Musso and Frank Grill, it was delicious!
In the afternoon we visited the Universal Studios in Hollywood and CityWalk. Universal
CityWalk is an entertainment and shopping area leading towards the Universal Studio theme
park where we had shopping. It was really funny.
After that we had dinner at Plaza Grill and then we took a taxi and we came back to the
hotel...

12. • SECOND PART BY GÜLCE:
• We waited the next day for sightseeing because we were so tired. The next day in the morning,
we decided to go to Disneyland first while having breakfast at the hotel. While we were going
there, we came across a parade. We spent some time in the parade,.In Disneyland, we enjoyed
a lot. We bought gifts from Disney stores. After we left Disneyland, we went to Hollywood
Boulevard. Everyone who came to Hollywood Boulevard got a photo of the star's hand,
footprint, or note.
• We learned this and we took photographs together with Johnny Deep's note.
• After we spent time at the bulvard a little more, we went out to Universal Studios. On the way
we walked to the studio, there were many souvenir shops and cafes. We came to the ticket gate
and got our one-day tickets. A red carpet welcomes us at the entrance to the studio. First we
met Marilyn Monroe. We took pictures together. We strolled to the studios where many film
shooted and checked everywhere. Soon we went to Jurasic Park. We got on a boat and came
down from a high place. We all had a lot of fun and learnt new things which we would tell our
friends when we turned back to FSI. It was time to go back to the hotel. It's hard to leave
Universal Studios but we had to go because our friends on the island were waiting for us.

13. *ROOM 7: NICOLE -ALESSIA AND HATICE:
• FIRST PART WRITTEN BY HATICE:
• My roomates, Nicole and Alessia and I decided to go to Edinburgh, which is the
capital of Scottland. The three of us set off from FSI Island at 8.00 on a yacht.
And we arrived in İtaly. We went to Pisa Airport by taxi from there. We got on a
Edinburgh flight at 9.20 and we arrived at Edinburgh Airport at 2 and a half
hours of travel. We went to the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Edinburgh by
taxi. We settled down from 136 pounds per day in a room with a single person.
We went to the rooms to unpack our bags. After a little rest, we went to ‘Oink’
to eat famous Hog Roast Roll.We went out for a short sightseeing tour in
Edinburgh.First we went to Edinburgh castle. It was very beautiful. After that,
we walked by Water of Leith Walkway. At night it was great.We were hungry
again and this time went to Los Cardos to eat Haggis Burrito. We had Lemon
and Line Majito for a cold drink. We went back to the hotel because we were
tired and we slept.

14. • SECOND PART BY NICOLE AND ALESSIA:
• The second day, we woke up at 8 and we had breakfast. We went to Princes
Street and we went shopping all the morning. Around midday we were
hungry and we decided to eat something at the McDonald’s. In the
afternoon, at about 2 we went to visit the Scottish National Gallery, and
later we went to Camera Obscura, It was a very great activity. Later in the
afternoon we went to Starbucks to drink coffee. then we returned to the
hotel, we had dinner and after dinner we went out to visit the Edinburgh
Dungeon. The Edinburgh Dungeon brings together an amazing cast of
theatrical actors, special effects, stages, scenes and rides in a truly unique
and exciting walk through experience that you see, hear, touch, smell and
feel. It’s hilarious fun and it’s sometimes a bit scary.
• It has been a really interesting day and we had so much fun but we were
also tired and quite frightened by the Dungeon. We went back to the hotel
because we were tired and we slept.

15. *ROOM 8:VIRGINA-ALICE- DAMLA AND
MELIKE:
• Our dream holiday to Berlin
•
• FIRST PART by VIRGINIA and ALICE
•
• Me (Alice), Melike, Virginia and Damla took a large cruise boat from Film Studio Island and we got to Venice
where in an hour we visited quickly the city of Venice.
We headed to the airport where we took a flight to Berlin at 6 am the next morning. Once we arrive at the airport,
together we wanted to have breakfast at Starbucks, a very famous coffee shop in America and now also in
Europe.
After breakfast we took the underground and we arrived in the center of Berlin where we visited the main
monuments: the Wall of Berlin which was a fortification wall built by the government of East Germany and
stretched between East Germany and West Germany. We admired on its remains many artistic paintings of street
art, we found them very interesting because these graffiti portray the main concepts of liberal ideas.
After the visit was now lunch time so we went to a restaurant for lunch, the name of this restaurant was
Hackethals where we ate typical dishes of the German cuisine.
In the afternoon immediately after lunch we went shopping in central Berlin where we bought many clothes and
we had a very funny nice time. We went to visit an archeological museum called "Pergamonmuseum", but we
thought it was a bit boring, full of ancient statues and paintings.
Therefore, after this visit we only wanted to relax and chat, so we decided to go to another restaurant for dinner,
different from the one where we had lunch, so as to taste more typical dishes of Berlin. The name of the
restaurant is Schnitzelei, the dishes offered here were very good and for this reason we recommend it.
In the evening we went to drink something in a pub whose name we do not remember. This pub was very nice
and full of young people, with music and a very welcoming atmosphere. We had the occasion to know each other
even better and to make best friends.
At midnight we were all very tired because of the long journey, therefore we decided to head to the hotel. The
hotel had been previously booked by Virginia and was also equipped with pool. We booked a quadruple room so
we could all stay together so as to have the opportunity to keep getting friendly and have fun. We chatted and
laughed and spoke a mixture of Italian and Turkish and English and then we fell asleep...

16. • SECOND PART by DAMLA and MELİKE
• Virginia and Alice were great girls. As we knew them better, we loved them
more. We didn’t drink alcohol at the pub but maybe because of the music, we
had a headache. Afterthebreakfast, Melike and I took painkillers. We didn’t
want to spoil that day, as we had lots of plans. After our trip to museum, we
decided that we didn’t like musuems very much.
So we decided to visit Berlin Zoo. It is a famous zoo and we got on S-bahn
ande asily got there. The transportation in Berlin was great. The weather was
lovely and the zoo was full of people. As we were looking at the animals ,Alice
shouted:’That’s him .That’s him. When we looked at the place Alice pointed,
we saw Eminem ,who is Alice’s favourite. We got excited. Alice said that she
would somehow meet him. We started to make plans but it was difficult as he
had 5 bodyguards around him.
It was difficult to reach him. As we were making several plans, he wasgetting
farther to us. Then alice shouted: ‘Eminem Eminem’ loudly and started
running towards him and we ran after her. Luckily he heard and turnedback.
Bodyguards didn’t want to let Alice to reach him but Eminem said it was Ok.
Alice shook hands with him andi ntoduced herself and then us.
We took selfies with him. It was like a dream. Wec ouldn’t believe. After the
zooand Eminem, we had no energy for anything. We wentt o a cafe and eat
Berliner with coffee and chatted about the day. Then we turned back to our
hotel room. We were ready to turn back the island tomorrow.

17. *ROOM 9:ALICE CORTI- GIADA PILATTI AND
NILUFER:
• FIRST PART BY NILUFER:
• Alice, Giada and I bought the tickets to go Seoul/S.Korea. Because Korea was far away,
we set off the road on Friday shortly after the lessons finished at the Film Studios. First
we went to Turkey by a boat. We took a taxi to head to Atatür Airport. After ticket and
passport control, we boarded on the plane. We were finally ready for 12 hours flight. The
flight was long but we didn’t get bored. During the journey, we watched films, chatted.
Alice and I were so excited that we couldn’t sleep but Giada slept. Alice and I planned the
things we would do in Seoul. When we arrived at Seoul, we went to the hotel by taxi.
Hotel was very well designed and it is called Grand Myeongdong Hotel which we paid
705₺ per person. Alice and I were a bit tired but we couldn’t waste our time staying at the
hotel. Giada seemed more energetic.we had breakfast and we started to explore the city..
Firstly we went to N.Seoul Tower which is one of most important symbol of the city. There
were a lot of street food and we ate Odeng and Ddeokbokki. They were very yummy. We
almost discovered every piece of Seoul but most memorable one was Lotte Duty Free. As
I heard it was quite popular place to shop and I lost control and almost filled my
lagguage. In the evening we were starving. and went to arestaurant. We ordered
Bibimbap, Samgyeopsal, Kimchi and Ramen. We were tired after a long day. That's why
we went back to hotel early and tryied to get energy for tomorrow. We were planning to
explore night life tomorrow. IAt our hotel room, we had shoer and chatted about the day.
Giada talked and talked. We tried to listen her but I and Alice fell asleep.

18. • SECOND PART BY ALICE AND GIADA:
• In the morning we woke up early to enjoy the day so we had breakfast at 7.30
a.m. We ate Yakgwa, (tipical korean biscuits), with the Maeshilcha tea, then we
prepared our packed lunch and got ready to explore the city. We went for a
walk to Bukhansan National Park. It took us 2 hours and a half to arrive on the
top of the mountain, we walked a lot, specially the lastest 800meters were
very hard and Giada was exhausted. After all, the view and the landscape were
breathtaking. We were up on a big rock and under us there were a lot of
colorful trees that were changing their leaves (in korea this phenomenon is
called danpung). On the left side there was the nature’s beauty and on the
right side we could see the skyline of the city and so the urban part of Seoul. In
this particular place we had a pic-nic, therefore we took advantage to taste
other tipical dishes thanks to our packed lunch. After this excursion, we
wanted to visit the heart of Seoul. Giada would have liked to visit the temple
Bongeunsa so we satisfied her. It was different from other experiences
because it was an oasi of history and architecture in the middle of the city’s
traffic. After all this, Nilufer and Alice wanted to go shopping before coming
back at the hotel, preparing our suitcases and going to the airport.

19. *ROOM10:IMANE- AYA AND ŞEYMA:
• Our holiday to Negril in Jamaica
• FIRST PART BY IMANE AND AYA:
We, Seyma, Aya and Imane took the boat to get to our dream holiday place, Negril in Jamaica. We
had decided to visit this place because we were interested to this country and we loved their
people who lived in.
Once we arrived to our destination,we stayed at Negril Yoga Centre hotel, we had breakfast and we
went out to visit the city, it was fantastic, we loved it because the weather was warm and not chilly
like at home, it was a bit of windy warm,the day was great and fantastic.
Negril is a famous seaside resort, and it has developed along its sandy beaches. There are long
streets along the beaches, and we rent some bikes so we were free to ride and reach all the
beautiful places full of life.
Imane and me were having a wonderful time with Seyma in Negril, we loved a lot of that place
because there was everything we expected to find, for example food: arroz y abichuelas, asopao,
Foo-foo and a lot of other exotic foods. Then again, we loved the sea, the weather that was always
warm and there was the most important thing, the sun!!, because we would like to get a sun tan.
During that first day, we met a lot of kind young people,we talked to them and we also played
volleyball on the beach, then we went to visit one of the monuments for which that city is famous:
the lighthouse.
After cycling up and down the city, we were quite tired and we chose a spot on the Coral Beach,
near the hotel, so we could lay in the sun and chat between us, and discover new secrets about
each other: Aya loves sunglasses, she has 11 pairs with different color lenses, and Imane and
Sayma adore cooking traditional food and wearing tribal jewellery!
Later, we had dinner at the hotel and stopped for a drink in the area near the pool, then we watched
TV and went to bed.

20. • SECOND PART BY ŞEYMA:
• The early lights of sun woke us up. We admired the view from our hotel room.
We started to plen that day. Aya said we needed to buy smart clothes fort he
music festival. Shopping is the common point among girls. We liked the idea. But
before shopping, we had breakfast at the hotel. We took a taxi to the nearest cafe
to drink Blue Mountain coffee,which is consired as the best coffee in the World.
And we liked it a lot. We chatted for awhile and saw it was high time we went.
We took a taxi again to go to shops at Rose Hall. We looked for suitable clothes
for the festival but we couldn’t find what we wanted. Then we decided to create
our own clothes. We all bought white clothes and turned back to hotel. On the
way to hotel we collected objects that we can stick on our clothes. Leaves, shells
and ect. And at the hotel we created our own design for clothes. When we
looked at the mirror, we were proud of ourselves. We love them. We took a taxi
to the Music Festival area. When we got out of the taxi, everybody was looking at
us, impressd by our clothes. W enjoyed a lot at the festival. People there wanted
to take photo of us. We felt ourselves like fames. It was great.

21. *ROOM 11:ALICE- GIADA DEL CURTO AND
YAĞMUR:
• GREAT WEEKEND
FIRST PART BY YAGMUR
• Giada,Alice and I was getting bored on the ısland and doing same things.While we were
staying in our otel room, suddenly we decited to tahe two-day holiday.We all had different
ideas but finally we come to agreement on Barcelona. We looked for the cheapest tickets,
bookedahotel and packed our luggage. In an hour we were ready to go.First we got a boat to
Turkey and from Atatürk airport we flew to Barcelona.We were very excited. It was like a
dream to go there with roommates. The flight took 3 and half hour.We took taxi to our
hotel,Hotel Porta Fira.The hotel was as skyskcraper,which is state-of-the -art hotel whose
design resembles a lotus flower. The rooms were great. We didn't want to waste our time so
we went out. We learned that lunch was holly in Spain and was eaten between 2-6pm.We ate
famous snacks called Pan Can Tomate and Pimientos Padronu for lunch. After that it was
time for exploring the city. We got on cable car and went up to Montjuic hill .We enjoyed the
beatiful scenery of Barcelona. We got on the fenicular to go down the hill. After that,we went
to Las Ramblas Street and took photoes in front of the fomous statue 'Klomb' and we visited
streets of Andalus. We were very lucky because the weather was warm and sunny. We
decided to go to a Bazaar called Sant Josep de la Boqruia. Fresh fruit and vegetables were
sold there. We drank fruit juice .it gave the energy we wanted and we kept on walking.There
was a match at Nau Camp stadium but we didn't want to waste time there.We were really
hungry and we wanted to taste traditional spanish food called Paella .it was delicious but
Alice didn't like it . Now it was time for night life. We went to a place called Ermar Balak and
watched a beatiful flamenco dance. It was fun. It was almost 2 am and we decided to turn
back hotel.There were lots of things to next day.

22. • SECOND PART BY ALICE AND GIADA:
• The second day we got up at 9:00 o’clock, we had breakfast with cappuccino and
croissant and around 10:00 o’clock we left the hotel and let’s go visit the
Sagrada Familia. We saw the works of Gaudi and we enjoied many works by
many artists. The work that most impressed us is the painting called “sudoku”.
Later in the morning we went to visit the Park Guell where we saw some
sculptures by the architect Gaudi. it is a park open to everybody and at the
entrance there are two pavilions and a turret and the salamander on the entry
stairs, the hypostyle hall with doric columns , the plaza de la naturaleza where
there are undulating benches where you can see the sagrada familia from above.
Around middday we had lunch and later we went back to the hotel in the
afternoon we went to thr barceloneta beach where we relaxed and we swam in
the sea. when we were tired we went back to the hotel we changed and washed
and we headed for dinner we ate some good fish that we really liked. After
dinner we went out to the mèrce the traditional party where they celebrate the
patron saint we returned to the hotel at midnight because we had an early flight
the next day .

23. *ROOM12: ALESSIA - LARA AND SUDE:
• OUR HOLIDAY TO PARIS
FIRST PART by LARA and ALESSIA:
• Last weekend we, Lara, Alessia and Sude took the boat and we arrived in Palermo,
from where we took the plane and headed to Paris. Once we arrived in Paris we went
to the hotel De Louvre, located near the Louvre Museum, to leave our suitcases and to
eat a quick lunch.
In the afternoon we went to the centre to eat an ice cream and then we went to visit the
Eiffel Tower.
Then we walked along the Luxembourg Garden, a unique park for beauty loved by
everyone. We took plenty of photographs there, as souvenirs for when we would be
back to FSI.
In the late afternoon we went to visit the Louvre, because there was a shorter queue to
get in than earlier! Inside the museum we saw the painting of “Mona Lisa” by Leonardo
da Vinci and then the “Lady with an Ermine” and many other famous and marvellous
paintings by ancient and new painters. Lara adores paintings! while Alessia and Sude
were a bit bored in the end...
After dinner we went to see the exterior of the cathedral of the Notre Dame, it was a
fantastic view because it was all illuminated by hundreds of lights and it seemed as if
they danced on the facade.. it was really a show to enjoy.
We were tired by then, and we decided to go back to the hotel to sleep. That first day
had been fantastic and we planned to visit other monuments for the next day.

24. • SECOND PART BY SUDE:
• Paris was always in my places to visit list. I was very happy to visit it with my new
best friends lara and Alessia. Yesterday we visited most of the important places of
Paris and today we were planning to visit the rest.But before starting this busy day we
need to have breakfast. We prefered Parisians’ style.We had croissantand French toast
with coffee.
Time to go out. We went to Le Marais. It was a great place. We felt as if we had been
strolling through medieval Paris. As I was chattin gwith Lara, We realised that Alessia
wasnt with us. We looked around but couldn’t find her anywhere. We were geting more
and more worried.We tried to ask people but they didn’t want to speak English. I saw a
boy sitting on a benchand asked himif he saw a girl with colorful scarf. He said no.
And ı said kahretsin(Damn)He ask edif ı wasTurkishand I said ‘evet(yes)’. He
wasTurkish,too. He had beenliving in parisfor ten years. He helped us and translate
devery thing we saidto French, so that we could communicate with the poliçe and they
found Alessia ten miutes later. We thanked toTurkish boy and went back ourtrip.But
this time we were walking arm in arm in order not tolo see achother.
Our other destiantion wasPalaisGarnier - Opera National de Paris and then Arc de
Triomphe.We were hungry and went toChef Stephane Jego restaurant. The meal
served there was great. Now it was time toturn back toour hotel. We looked at the
photos we took during the day and had fun of Alessia’s missing.
