This document provides instructions for a sixth grade science webquest where students will research different freshwater and marine biomes. Students will learn about the key features of each biome and then choose one to present to their principal as the best biome for a class field trip. They will create a presentation using a diorama, PowerPoint, or display board to convince the principal which biome to visit.

1. This webquest is designed for my sixth grade science students. We have been exploring all the different land biomes and are now moving on to the water biomes. This webquest is designed to link them to important information about each fresh water and marine biome. From their research, the students will then make a recommendation to their principal on which biome they should get to visit.

3. Step 1: Learn about the different water biomes. Record your research in your source grid. What do I find interesting about this biome? An example of a food chain would be… What plant life is in this biome? What animals live in this biome? Where is this biome located?
