Jane’s parents encouraged her love of animals.
Her father gave her a stuffed animal chimp
when she was a baby she carried it
everywhere with her.Animals fascinated her
from the start.She moved to Bournemouth
England. Favorite book was Tarzan, and that’s
what made her dream of going to africa.Her
friend invited her to visit in Kenya. Jane couldn't
afford to go so she waitressed to get the money

Took free classes after high school studied
at Cambridge University. Received her PhD
degree from Cambridge.
Adult life/Career:
1971 became a teacher at Stanford
University in California.Jane divorced in
1974.She fell in love with another man
named Derek Bryceson.Became a secretary
in London. Became a mother on March 4
gave birth to a baby boy.
