2. Photography Inspiration 1
I love this photograph - it's taken by
Trung Nguyen (trungywin.com) - I
especially love the close up; it
reveals facial detail on the model
(her striking blue eye colour, for
one).
I would love to incorporate this style
of photography in my magazine as I
feel it so clearly links to my
magazine as I wish to have aspects
of both fashion and photography
featuring in my magazine.
3. Photography Inspiration 2
I found this photograph on
www.jackgarellphotography.com - I
love it. It’s a medium long shot (and
2- shot) which is the best to use as
the models are in motion.
It feels very natural and active, and
very different to many images found
in indie magazines.
The clothing is different and the
background is neutral and it allows
the models to stand out against it.
4. Photography Inspiration 3
I found this photograph on the Instagram
account of @vicki.he - it’s a mid close
up of the model’s head turned facing us
as the body is turned away.
The lighting is very soft and the
photograph is posed, perhaps taken in a
studio.
I would love to incorporate these type of
images into my magazine, maybe on the
front cover as many magazines feature
either a mid close up or a medium shot
of the model.
5. Photography Inspiration 4
I found this photograph on
Instagram taken by @simba. I
absolutely adore this image as it
feels very naturalistic and almost
busy? The loud painting in the
background makes this image
feel colourful and live.
This is a medium long shot as the
model is sat down.
The photo seems quite ‘grainy’,
but I like it as it seems vintage
and indie, which links to the genre
of my music magazine.
6. Photography Inspiration 5
I found this photograph on Instagram
taken by @yungcarne.
It’s a medium shot and it reveals the
old background. I love this image as
it is posed but not in a studio. A
contrast between modern and old.
I will incorporate these type of photos
into my magazine, perhaps on the
contents page as I don’t think many
photos like this are used on the front
cover - they’re mostly all posed and
in a studio setting.
