During these modern times and especially in post COVID period, it is very important for
newly graduates and job seekers to be properly Job Ready. You may have heard about the
tragic placement news in top colleges in India in the past one year. This proofs, that just
getting into a top college doesn’t guarantee you a good job.
3. SO, HERE ARE FEW STEPS TO BECOME JOB READY:-
• Set your goals: Just like HR managers create job or specify roles according to the
set goals, job seekers should do the same. First to set goals, you need to figure
out in which specific domain you are interested in. Research about that, then
decide a specific field or role you would want to work in. Also, make sure your
goals are achievable, so that failure can’t take a toll at your mental health.
• Gain the basic qualification or skills required for the job : The employer will
consider you only if you have the required qualifications. Keep in mind that this is
something which will take time, so plan your career accordingly.

yourself while applying for a job. Your resume shouldn’t be too long, it should be precise

• Be prepared for job interviews: In interviews not all the questions require spontaneous
answers, some questions are general and asked in every interview. Like tell me about
yourself, where do you see yourself in five years, what are your hobbies, etc. Answers
to these type of questions can be prepared thoroughly beforehand, so that you can
answer confidently during the interview.

polishing your networking skills. Networking can help a student gather insights
about their preferred industry and job roles, thereby allowing them to make more
informed decisions about where to apply.
