OBJECTIVE:
To pursue an aspiring career in the field of Apparel and focusing mainly on Garment
Technology.
I. POSITION SUMMARY
This role is responsible to manage all elements of pre-production based on the client
requirements and holds the responsibility for sample submission by liaising with the cross
functional teams. Also responsible to ensure the implementation of quality standards
throughout the production process, thereby making sure that the final product meets the client
expectations.
II. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer
 Meet customer expectations in terms of product quality and timeliness from the
development to the final product.
 Coordinate with the client QA/ Tech team on any issues; submit corrective action
plans where required.
 Understand the Business and Technical requirements of the client and the product.
 Resolve any issues in a timely manner to avoid quality concerns and delay in
delivery
People
 Ensure clarity of job expectations for the team members and ensure effective
utilization of resources.
 Provide on the job training to new employees and mentor the existing team.
 Interact with team to evaluate, influence and provide options where necessary.
 Evaluate team performance and provide inputs to Annual Performance
Management Process.
 Resolve people issues in the team appropriately.
 Work with the HR team in the recruitment process.
Financial
 Ensure that all processes are completed on a timely basis
Operations
 Understand the Tech pack received from the client in terms of technical, quality and
aesthetic requirements and educate the team and vendor on the same.
 Participate in all stages of sample development and assist the vendor to ensure the right
fit.
 Review capacities (sampling and production) at each vendor facility to cover the product
range.
 In case of new vendors identify and train a dedicated team.
 Participate in the PP meeting with the vendor along with Production, Merchant, Tech &
QA team to discuss the construction, quality, wash, trim, fabric and styling requirements.
 Monitor the process and factory S.O.P (Standard Operating Procedure) with the TSS
defined parameters which supports product quality.
 Discuss and agree on the production batch setting. Review the proper layout, method
change, operational analysis on a regular basis during production.
 Co-ordinate with the Merchant and Production teams on all aspects from the sampling to
shipment.
 Quality Planning and scheduling to achieve planned target as per required quality
standards and cut-off date. (Cutting-Sewing-Washing-Finishing-Packing-Shipping).
 Audit all inspections reports to evaluate the quality performance of the Vendor on a
regular basis. Analyze the vendor processes and create awareness of ‘Brand Right’ &
’Brand Negative’.
 Audit the final product to ensure the quality standards have been met.


WORKING IN TEXTILE SOURCING & SERVICE PVT.LTD. (TSS) FROM 21st Oct 2002
to TILL DATE Resumed a as Quality/tech Assurance Officer and was promoted to Senior
Quality Assurance Officer in 2003 till 2005 , in 2005 promoted as QUALITY ASSURANCE
MANAGER in 2005 till 2009 and in 2009 promoted as sr.MANAGER ( still in the same post
till date) At present handling shirt dev and domestic label (WROGN)
TSS QUALITY MANAGER
Looking after quality right from internal size set to final inspection.(independently handling
factory in Delhi , daman, Bombay ,Chennai and Bangalore ) presently handling 15 factory in
Bangalore ( shah exports, Gokaldas exports, export garments , texport syndicate, Bombay rayon
and Arvin .mills.
Handling 9 qi’s in Bangalore and 4 qi’s in tirupur and 2 qi’s in Bombay.
AS SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER (in TSS)
 Complete responsibility of handling the Styles right from the Size Sets until Shipment.
 Conduct Pre-Production Meetings well in advance before commencement of the assigned
account / styles with Factories and with concern Merchandisers.
 Handling and solving all Quality Issues during the assignment.
 On Spot & On Time decision making on Quality and would be solely responsible for all
that accounts
AS QUALITY/ TECH OFFICER (its)
 FIT PROCESS
 Factory will submit a trail sample before proceeding for the fit sample to ensure that the
construction /styling detail are stable, .this is an internal process
 We review the factory pattern against the block and the spec before proceeding for the fit.
 Download all detail to the factory before they start the style.
 Going to the factory to see sewing of the sample on line to ensure construction specified
in the TP are achievable or any changes to be made which should be inform the buyer.
 Factory will send the fit samples to us for the review against the TP for construction,
measurement and quality.
 we will check factory pattern against buyer block and review the sample and send to
buyer if it meet all the requirements of the buyer.

Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, polo, club Monaco, Chico’s and AEO.
For ITALY buyers
