2. Research
I think that for audiences I have used my time to research
effectively, I am content with how I researched and what I used
and how I laid everything out. I looked into multiple different
websites that all had different styles and buttons etc. my
research helped me a lot during production and planning
because it showed me what features make a website successful
and also appealing. It also helped me with laying out my features
such as buttons, links and photos etc. I think that overall, my
research was useful and helped me create my FMP to the best of
my ability. It also helped me create my planning section with
ease.
3. Planning
After research, I began my planning. I think that my research
gave me a head start and a good idea of what I wanted to do for
my website. I began creating mood boards, brain storms and just
creating a general idea of what types of styles, layouts and
colours I planned to use. I also had to settle on a theme, design
and potential sounds. Once I found what I was happy with I
could then develop and improve my ideas. A strength of my
planning was having multiple ideas so if something went wrong I
always had a backup.
4. Time Management
I think that once again I could have managed my time a little
better within the writing sections. This meant that I had to rush
my evaluation and reflection diary because I wasted time having
to check through work looking for any not completed and also
for any I have not uploaded. With production, I think my time
management has been good, but I could worked more at home
since I missed quite a bit of college time. I also wasted a few
weeks of working at home because my computer was broken
and I couldn’t find my work on my partners computer.
5. Technical Qualities
One technical quality for my website has to be the simplistic but
still appealing theme, this made it easy to navigate and work
around. It also kept you interested since if it was packed with
loads of things you could get overwhelmed. Another technical
quality could also be how I've used a feature that allowed my
photos to rotate on a time schedule which added a nice effect to
my website. My website was similar to another website that
advertised York to everyone and helped people find places to eat
and attractions in general.
6. Aesthetic Qualities
I think that one aesthetic quality was the style and theme of my
website, I'm really happy with the way I designed the theme and
layout of the homepage because I think that it looks
professional. I purposely chose red because it is a bold and eye
catching colour, to complement the red I chose white and black, I
also made sure to add lots of photos to make it more appealing.
One weakness was that despite me enjoying how it looks, I feel
like I could have added more to make it look even better.
7. Audience Appeal
I think that my website successfully appealed to the audiences
demands as I kept it simplistic and modern, I also made sure not
to over complicate any of the writing I did so it was easier to
understand. I also chose more “modern” or just cool- looking in
general places as my audiences age range is known for liking and
enjoying more “instagramable” places to eat out at. The results
from my survey showed that people much prefer eating out in
York compared to sight seeing, etc.

12. Peer Feedback Summary
I think that I could improve how I planned the website, my
research was good however I could have planned a layout to
help me a little more. I also know that out of all, research was my
strong point, this meaning next time I will try harder on planning
ad production. If I were to redo this, I would make sure to have a
finalized plan for my layout, theme etc so all I need to do is
execute it.
