The document presents an overview of Sixth Sense technology, a wearable gesture interface that allows users to interact with the digital world using natural hand gestures. It comprises a pocket projector, camera, and mirror. The camera tracks the user's hand gestures marked by colored markers using computer vision. The projector projects visual information onto surfaces based on the gestures. It has applications like taking photos, zooming, making calls, getting flight updates, and drawing. The technology is portable, supports multi-touch interaction, and is cost-effective.

2. INTRODUCTION
๏ต Sixth sense is a wearable gesture interface
that increases the physical world around us
with the digital world.
๏ต It lets us use natural hand gestures to
interact with the digital world.
๏ต It comprises a pocket projector, a mirror,
and a camera. The hardware components
are coupled independently like mobile
wearable devices.
4. Camera:
๏ต If there is any object in view, then the object is recognized
by the webcam and using computer-vision based
techniques the userโs gestures are tracked and it sends
the data to the Smartphone.
5. Projector:
๏ต Projector: The projector projects
visual information on any
surface, including the object
itself or your hand. The project
itself contains a battery inside,
with 3 hours of battery life.
6. Mirror
๏ต The usage of mirror is
significant as the project
dangles pointing downwards
from the neck.
7. Mobile Component:
๏ต The mobile devices like the Smartphone
are used to handle connection to the
internet. Using mobile internet data and
voice can be communicated across the
world either by transmitting or by
receiving it
8. Colored Markers
๏ต It Is At The Tip Of The Userโs
Fingers.
๏ต Marking The Userโs Fingers With
Red, Yellow, Green, And Blue
Tape Helps The Webcam
Recognize Gestures.
๏ต The Movements And
Arrangements Of These Makers
Are Interpreted Into Gestures
That Act As Interaction
Instructions For The Projected
Application Interfaces.
10. APPLICATIONS
๏ตTAKE PICTURE
๏ต If you fashion your index fingers and thumbs
into a square ( โframingโ gesture) we can take
a snap.
๏ต After taking the photos, we can project them
onto a surface, and use gestures to sort
through the photos, and organize and resize
them.
11. APPLICATIONS
๏ตZOOMING FEATURES
๏ต We can arrange those pictures. The user can
zoom in or zoom out by just using hand
movements
๏ต MAKE A CALL
๏ต You can use sixth sense to project a keypad
onto your hand, then use the that key pad to
make a call
12. APPLICATIONS
๏ต MULTIMEDIA READING
EXPERIENCES
๏ต sixth sense can be programmed to
project related videos onto news
paper articles you are reading.
๏ต GET FLIGHT UPDATES
๏ต The system will recognize your boarding pass
and you know whether your flight is on time and
if the gate has changed
13. APPLICATIONS
๏ต DRAWING APPLICATION
๏ต We can arrange those pictures. The user can zoom
in or zoom out by just using hand movements
๏ต CHECK THE TIME
๏ต Draw a circle on your wrist to get a virtual watch
that gives you the correct time
14. ADVANTAGES
โซ Portable.
โซ Support multi touch and multi user interaction.
โซ Cost effective($330).
โซ Data access directly from machines in real time.
โซ Open source software
