Instagram-Worthy Gifts
Sweety High, an online content platform for
young people carried out a survey with over
600 girls aged between 13 and 22 to discover
more about what influenced their gift-giving
and receiving behavior.
They found that 58% of girls aged 13 to 16
wanted gifts that would bring them more
likes and shares, or that are “Instagram-
worthy.” This number decreased as they got
older. They also discovered that slightly more
girls would rather receive a digital gadget as
a holiday gift over beauty products (51% Vs
49%).

Saudi Arabia Grants
Citizenship To A Robot
The intelligent humanoid robot Sophia which
was built by Hanson Robotics, announced
her own citizenship during a panel discussion
in Saudi Arabia, saying “I am very honoured
and proud of this unique distinction. This is
historical to be the first robot in the world to
be recognized with a citizenship.”
However, it is not discussed yet if robots in
Saudi Arabia will have the same rights as
human citizens or if there is going to be a
special system.

Uber Credit Card
From now on anyone can apply to Uber’s
new added service: credit cards. The cards
include rewards and discounts for different
types of purchases, including 4% on dining,
3% on hotels and air travel, 2% for online
purchases and 1% on all other purchases.
Except for these rewards the credit card will
also include subscription credits for online
streaming services, insurance for phone
damages and theft if the user pays his phone
bill with the Uber card, exclusive access to
events in the US and no foreign transaction
fees when the card is used abroad.

Intelligent Sneakers
This new pair of sneakers has the capability
of warming up the bottom of the shoe, along
with assessing the potential foot injuries. The
shoes get connected to the smartphone for
analyzing the wearer’s steps count plus the
calories that are getting burnt meanwhile.
Through the app, it is possible to turn on the
heat in the shoe’s soles, tighten the
shoelaces, assess the cause of potential
injury. For launching and bringing the shoe to
life, Digitsole Smartshoe ran a Kickstarter
campaign and surpassed its $50,000 goal.

“Pizza Parkas” made of the same material and

In the jackets sleeve there is an “order
window” integrated which can hold a
smartphone for easier ordering and a splash
guard to protect it from the weather.

billboard changes depending on the traffic.
Drivers are often in very different moods and
states of mind depending on how their
journey goes. McDonald’s chose to address
this by launching a new campaign featuring
responsive billboards. During peak times
when traffic is building, the billboards will
display different messages to reflect the
heavier traffic, meaning each message
shown will resonate a little more with drivers.

In The UK

shopping season and the UK’s biggest annual
deals event, Amazon opened a pop up
named "Home of Black Friday" in London's
Soho district.

workshops, from foodie fun to crafts

program into the range of connecting
