My paper for the session on embedding behavioural science within local government at the Public Health England Conference 2017 This session will provide practical advice and examples of how we can develop the behavioural science capability of the public health system. We will build on the work of the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Academy of Social Sciences and the Centre for Workforce Intelligence in an interdisciplinary approach to start delivering on the ‘fifth wave’ of public health where healthy behaviours become the norm in a ‘culture of health’. System leaders will present perspectives from aspects of the system. A national leader will explain the developing system-wide approach to a Behavioural Science Strategy for Public Health. This will highlight the policy demand and how this is being met by national organisations to provide the environment for behavioural science to have maximum effect at local level. It will introduce the disciplines and organisations involved, the types of expertise and how they can help. A director of public health will describe how behavioural science can contribute to delivery of STPs, how to make the business case and different approaches to build capability at the local level. An expert from local government will describe the practical approach of behavioural science in day-to-day public health delivery, their scope of work, how they enhance delivery and how they prioritise and manage demand. Throughout we will address ‘what are the benefits?’, ‘why embed behavioural science?’ and provide case examples to demonstrate how behavioural science has added value. Our aim is to promote world leading behavioural science and communicate this throughout the public health system.

The intersection of opioid use and HIV is well documented. More than one-third of all AIDS cases in the U.S. are directly or indirectly linked to injection drug use. Additionally, dependence and abuse of pain relievers is on the rise; people living with HIV/AIDS who suffer from chronic pain may be at particular risk. Opioids are highly addictive and mortality among illicit opioid users is estimated at 13 times that of the general population. The SPNS Buprenorphine Initiative investigated the effectiveness of integrating buprenorphine opioid abuse treatment into HIV primary care settings. This Webcast is the first in a series under the new SPNS Integrating HIV Innovative Practices project (www.careacttarget.org/ihip) to assist providers in replicating SPNS work in their sites. This Webcast will introduce providers to the SPNS Buprenorphine Initiative, its findings, its synergy with the National HIV/AIDS Strategy, and provide an overview of opioid use and HIV. The subsequent Webcast in the series will examine the clinical aspects of buprenorphine therapy, best practices, and implementation guidance. Dan sebagaimana halnya benda-benda lain yang diberi eksistensi simbolis oleh manusia, ganja memiliki banyak nama di berbagai bangsa dan menjadikannya sebagai tanaman dengan nama atau sebutan yang paling banyak macamnya di seluruh dunia. Walau ganja baru resmi di-’baptis’ dalam kerajaan tanaman dengan nama ilmiah Cannabis sativa oleh Carolus Linnaeus pada tahun 1753, manusia sudah mengenal tanaman ganja dengan berbagai macam nama sepanjang zaman. Fakta menyebutkan bahwa ‘Cannabis’ atau ‘Ganja’ adalah salah satu kata dengan akar bahasa yang tertua di dunia. Catatan tertulis pertama yang lengkap tentang tanaman ganja berasal dari tablet tanah liat yang ditulis dengan huruf paku (cuneiform) oleh bangsa Sumeria1 pada masa 3000 tahun sebelum masehi.
