Brief tutorial on Edmodo

The first thing you need to do is simply sign
up. It‟s free so get after it already!

3. Find your school, or
add your school!!
Choose your
Community!

Now you are ready. From here, you can
upload assignments, create quizzes, and
create groups for all of your different classes.

The first thing you must do to flip your classroom, is create a group.
Groups are created so you can post specific assignments to specific
classes of students. Students also use groups to have conversations
about course material. Once you create your group, you will be given an
access code that you can then share with your students

Now that you have created a group, you can
make announcements, and send them to specific
groups by selecting them from the drop down
menu.

To add an assignment, simply click assignment, load
assignment, and then select the assignment from
your personal files. You can also give the assignment
a title, description, due date, and class.

To make a quiz, simply click on the quiz icon
and then create a quiz.

From there, you can choose questions types, type questions, and
type answer choices. When finished, simply click “Assign Quiz” to
choose the classes that will take the quiz. Edmodo will even
grade the quizzes when they are finished!!!

To let students partake in a poll or survey during or outside of
class. Click „Poll‟. Edmodo will tally your students‟ responses to
give you a quick informal assessment
