3. A Fact
• It’s a distinctive raptor found throughout
North America from Baja California and
Florida all the way to Alaska and
Newfoundland.
4. Where do they migrate?
• The eagle can migrate anywhere from
Northern Mexico to Northern Canada
5. When Do They Mate?
• Eagles Build a large nest before mating.
• They mate in the early spring.
• Bald Eagles in Florida sometimes mate in
the winter.
• The female eagle usually lay 1 to 3 eggs.
6. Baby eagles…
come out of the eggs with their eyes open.
At 11 to 12 weeks they leave the nest but
they can’t fly very well.
