The bank vole is an invasive species introduced to Ireland in the 1920s from Germany. It has been spreading northward through Ireland and was recently observed as far north as County Mayo. This expansion provides more prey for birds like barn owls. The document also notes a single observation of a bank vole in Knockma woodland in north County Galway, which is further north than previously reported for the species' range. This adds to records of the bank vole's distribution in Ireland.
1) The story is about a young girl named Blancanieves who was walking happily in the forest.
2) She meets a man who warns her not to go near the house of the Evil Witch of the Forest.
3) The Evil Witch asks her magic mirror who is the most beautiful woman in the forest, and it replies that it is Blancanieves.
The document discusses the weather forecast for tomorrow. It will be very cold in the morning due to low temperatures, but the sun will come out at midday making it more pleasant. In the afternoon it will be hot and comfortable for walking, but the night will be very cold with high winds as the climate is cold.
The document outlines plans to redesign the Learning Hub space at Aalto University's Kesko Hall. It summarizes feedback from students about their needs, including studying alone or in groups, and having both silent and social spaces. The proposed redesign concept includes dividing the 5th and 6th floors into functional areas for silent study, group work, computers, and presentations. It aims to improve the space to enhance learning and collaboration while strengthening the Aalto BIZ community.
This document lists common school supplies found in a classroom including pencils, pens, crayons, paper, books, rulers, scissors, notebooks, erasers, pencil sharpeners, desks, blackboards, computers, and chairs.
This document discusses the concept of national cinema, specifically in regards to Swedish cinema. It explores whether the term "national cinema" can be used to understand Swedish films given the transnational nature of film production and consumption. While national cinema is often defined as films produced within a country, the document argues this definition is problematic as it ignores cross-border influences. Swedish films serve as examples of how national cinemas are hybrid and fluid, incorporating elements from other countries. The tourism industry is also discussed as something that can benefit from successful national films but further complicates notions of a fixed national cinema.

Digital Manufacturing: i numeri presentati a SMAU 2014Massimo Zanardini

This document discusses operating systems, including their functions, types, and installation. It defines an operating system as a set of programs that manages computer hardware and software resources and provides common services for computer programs. It describes the core functions of operating systems such as booting, memory management, job scheduling, device control, user interfaces, and security administration. It outlines the main types of operating systems including standalone, server, and mobile operating systems. It provides examples of popular operating systems within each category such as Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS. Finally, it briefly mentions the process of installing an operating system.
Group dynamics involves the interactions between group members as they work together toward a common goal. A group is defined as two or more individuals who join together to achieve what cannot be done alone. There are two types of groups - formal groups created by an organization to meet goals, and informal groups that develop naturally among members. Key aspects of group dynamics include forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning stages; developing cohesiveness through getting to know each other and setting rules; and how group task and productivity are influenced by the complexity of the task and avoiding obstacles to productivity. Synergy refers to a group achieving more than the sum of individual efforts, while process loss is the difference between actual and potential group output
The document provides draft recommendations for developing the Nisqually River Water Trail from Nisqually State Park to Luhr Beach. It outlines a 2-year planning process with assistance from the National Park Service. The vision is to provide high quality non-motorized boating access aligned with protecting cultural/natural resources. Goals include ample public access, minimal environmental impacts, and education. Initial findings note culturally/ecologically important sites. Overall recommendations include creating maps/signs, developing access points, and interpretive opportunities focused on safety, cultural significance, and ecology.
Employee engagement is calculated as the sum of communication, management responsibility, and personal responsibility, divided by leadership vision. The formula represents that employee engagement depends on effective communication, management taking responsibility, personal accountability, and a clear vision from leadership. When any of these factors are lacking, employee engagement will be negatively impacted.
