Following up on your prospects is a key step in landing a job, but 
it’s a fine line between seeming interested or aggravating.
Have a Plan 
Don’t march into a professional interaction blindly! Have your 
thoughts collected, and make your purpose clear.
Refresh Their Memory 
Don’t assume that your potential employer, client, or business 
partner remembers everything about you. Remind them of who you 
are, where you come from, and what you have to offer.
Schedule a Future 
Appointment 
Be sure to nail down a time to meet again, keeping your 
presence fresh in their memory.
Pursue Your Goal 
Remind yourself of why you wish to enter into a professional 
endeavor with this contact, and be firm and persistent in your 
goals and convictions.
Ask Them If You Should 
Stop Following Up 
If nothing else, you at least deserve frankness for you interest and 
effort. Being ignored can keep you put on foot and make you feel 
unappreciated. If your inquiries are met with lukewarm responses, 
ask for their honesty.
