Dear Colleagues,
As the demand for additional bandwidth from space based communications,
PNT and other capabilities has grown and the incredible small satellite revolution
it has prompted has seen a wholesale change in our approach to future space.
Hence, the importance of the inaugural Small Satellites conference – which
acknowledge the growing importance of this key enabler.
With a growing array of players entering the small, nano and cube-sat markets, as
well as the emergence of new mega-constellations, there is a growing consensus
that a forum to consider best practise, regulatory principals, production and
operational lessons learnt to effectively utilise this resource.
This year’s conference, bringing together a host of military, space agencies,
regulators, emerging space companies, established industry, key opinion leaders
and end users provides a fantastic opportunity to raise questions and share
experience and knowledge.

This half day session will delve into how JHub connects world
class technology and talent to military users. Exploring how
JFC is rapidly accelerating pilots into across key mission areas
across space in LEO, MEO, HEO and ground infrastructure.
This interactive session will outline how to work with JHub and
the JFC innovation board.
about the Workshop leader:
Innovation Scout, Adie Holt, is responsible for finding world
class technology and talent and delivering it rapidly into the
hands of military users.
Adie, an RAF Engineer, has worked on some of Defence’s
most exciting capital procurement projects including Harrier
GR7, Tornado F3, Typhoon and A400M programmes as well
as its major IT rollouts. Rarely satisfied with the status quo and
a natural disruptor, Adie was selected to help establish the
Joint Force Command Innovation Unit, the jHub in 2017. The
model he helped to introduce is proving to be one of the
most disruptive and effective in Defence.
Adie also supports his wife’s business, enjoys running, Krav
Maga (not sure if enjoy is the right phrase) and Lego (he has
a young boy).
about the Organisation:
The jHub is Joint Force Command/Strategic Command’s
primary innovation Unit. In its first 30 months the jHub
created an effective model which has delivered many
new capabilities to Defence. On this journey, the jHub has
learned from elite teams and some of the most innovative
organisations in the world to identify universal lessons for
innovation. The Team is now expanding its remit and scale
in order to realise more strategically aligned benefit with a
particular focus on space and information advantage.
