2. Rafael (hebr. רפאל, ara. Israfil, اسرافيل, scs. Archangieł Rafaił, pl. Rafał) - one from archangels; in the traditions of Jewish and Christian, his name means "God heals." It belongs to a group of angels created by God on the first day of creation. It is the spirit of not having a physical body, but endowed with reason, free and immortal. Archangel Rafael appears in Sacred Scripture in the Book of Tobiah where in the human form, taking the name of Azariah offers young Tobiah , by way of Nineveh to Raga, his companionship and care, protecting him from demons, and healing after the return of his father.
