Calculate Your Own CO2 Footprint with this Webpage
1. You can calculate your
own CO2 footprint with
using different web
pages
2. Let’s make your own CO2
footprint

3. CO2 FOOTPRINT
• Students calculated their CO2 footprint
1. 1.7 t of CO2 done by heating, lights and using
all kinds of electric devices,
2. 1.6t of CO2 in transport,
• Average emission per person per year
together is 3,4 t CO2
• We did not count goods that we usually buy
and average emission is still exceeding the
recommended value 2t CO2.
4. Lesson with ten year old pupils
Larisa, Tjaša, Benjamin and me had a lesson about
problem of global warming with ten year old pupils at the
elementary school in Leskovec.
First we presented the theory of global warming and
showed them a movie The Big Ask, about how children
could help. They had a slight problem understanding
some professional terminology such as ozone hole,
atmosphere and carbon diokside. We explained those in
another way, using the words known to them.
We told them that big companies had been doing most of
the harm and that animals (like polar bears) also suffer,
because soon they would not have any place to live.
Notas del editor
We are going to talk about our presentation of project think for the future.
In the first year of our project some of students calculated CO2 footprint. The results is not encouraging . Average emission per person per year together is 3,4 t CO 2 We did not count goods that we usually buy and energy thar we use in school and in free time and average emission is still exceeding the recommended value 2t CO 2. Recommended value for the world is 2 tones of CO2 per person , and mostly in all countries it is exceed e d. The official data for Slovenia is 10 tones of CO2 per person per year and for United States is 20 tones.
