cells are the basic structural unit for all organisms.

 Any living thing- can be one cell or millions of cells

8. life cycle
 the stages a living thing goes through during its life.

9. temperature
 A measurement that indicates how hot or cold
something is

10. moisture
 a small amount of a liquid (such as water) that
makes something wet or moist

11. terrarium
 A glass or plastic box that is used for growing plants
or keeping small animals indoors.

12. aquarium
 A glass or plastic container in which fish and other
water animals and plants can live

13. observe
 To use your senses to notice something

14. interaction
 To act together or to come together and have an
effect on each other

15. homeostasis
 The ability of the body to maintain a stable internal
environment despite changes in external conditions.
Example: Too hot you sweat, too cold muscles shiver to warm up

16. growth vs. development
 Growth means that the size is being increased.
Development is more becoming mature; you adapt
to your new surroundings.

 covering or involving a small area
 A globe is a small-scale model
of the Earth.
