2. Slideshare
I have used Slideshare in research and planning
to show my research into other trailers and
the lighting scenes storyline and basic mise
en scene. I used Slideshare as I presented all
of this information in Microsoft word then
uploaded it to slide share. This made it easy to
view on my blog and condensed all of the
information.
3. IMDB
• Another way I researched trailers was through
IMDB. This is a website that showcases all
forms of trailers and their posters. This
website was highly beneficial as it told me
what genre the trailer was, showcased the
poster relating to the film and trailers relating
to the one you have watched.
4. Poll daddy
• I have used poll daddy to gain feedback from my
audience and gather opinion's on my work. Poll
daddy has been a useful media technology due to
the fact that I can use it on my blog along with my
work that I want feedback on. In this particular
situation I have used poll daddy to gather
information on what my audience thinks of my
trailer idea's and if it applies to their interests. In
another situation I used poll daddy to see what
trailer title was most liked by my audience.
5. Tagxedo
• This was a highly beneficial form of presenting
my work. I have used this in my research to
explain all of the words relating to a horror
genre. This was so I didn't have to write a long
list of words relating to horror genre's on my
blog as this would look messy and too long.
Thus using Taqxedo presents my work in a
more fashionable and colourful way.
6. Google images
• I have used Google images to gather pictures of
posters and of characters. This has been highly
helpful when looking at posters for trailers, it has
helped me to decide on what genre I wanted to
create and has assisted me in gathering
information on what a poster should look like
compared to a film. Google images has easy
access and has provided me with vital images for
the creation and assistance of my research i.e.
images I have used to put behind my title ideas,
and real media posters.
7. Photoshop
• I have used Photoshop to create all of the
research and planning of my characters and my
trailer title idea's. Photoshop has assisted me in
manipulating pictures and adding text. I have
used it to showcase my character profile's,
information on the characters as to why I have
chosen them and to put my title idea's onto a
photo. It has been useful as I have added various
images into one pictures and added information
with effects such as changing the colour opacity
and manipulating the image.
8. Cannon camera
• I have used this camera to film my characters
give auditions to make the final trailer and to
gather audience feedback. I have used this
camera as it is good quality and can capture
the clips clearly and loudly. This camera has
been essential in showing my feedback and
auditions on my blog.
9. Print screen
• I have print screen when showing the websites I
have visited and the colours and layout it has. I have
used this for my website research in showing what
website I have found in relation to the trailer I have
viewed. I used print screen on the page I was on,
focusing on what I wanted to know and explain.
10. Excel
• I have used excel to construct my Gantt chart
to guide me on how much time I should
be allowing and spending on each topic to
keep on schedule. This was a clear way of
viewing how much time I has for each topic
and can be reviewed regularly.
11. Tripod
I have used a tripod to place the camera on top of when I want to
film something steadily e.g. My audience feedback and my
character auditions.
