4. 1-3 1. God created all that is seen and unseen. Christians believe that God is the creator of all people, the world, the universe, and everything seen and unseen. 2. Jesus is the son of God and is one with God. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that he is one with God, and that he was sent here for our salvation. 3. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Christians believe that Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit of God and born through the virgin Mary.

5. 4-6 4. Jesus suffered and was crucified. Jesus suffered and died for our sins. Jesus was falsely accused of being an anti-government rebel and, as explained in Mathew 27:23-56, he was brought to the Pontius Pilate to be executed through crucifixion. 5. 9. Marriage The Christian community believed marriage was a gift from God. They believe it is God’s purpose that a man and a woman marry out of love. Marriage in traditional Christian belief takes place in a church. The priest asks the couple to make each other promises. They than kneel before the vicar and are blessed.

10. Death Death is an important factor in the Christian religion. Christians believe if you live a good life you will go to heaven when pass on. The believe once in heaven there is no pain, no sadness, and only peace and love. When you die friends and family will say prayers, hymns, and read bible readings. This service is called a funeral. They bury the deceased body in a coffin in the ground marked by a tombstone.

They believe Jesus Christ was baptized in the river Jordan and told his followers to do the same. During a baptism the priest sprinkles water on your forehead, or you are submerged in water to wash away your sins and to start a new life with Jesus Christ. The priest says “ I baptize you in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit.” Than makes a cross on your forehead. First communion First communion is the step after baptism. It takes place between ages 7 and 9. During first communion the child carries a candle to the front. The priest places a piece of bread in your mouth and then you can receive holy communion.
