The 3D printing technology was invented more than 30
years ago. Now, finally prices drop and quality increases.

TO A DIGITAL BLUEPRINT
3D printing requires a digital computer-aided design file
(CAD). It’s like a PDF with a third dimension.

6. FROM A DIGITAL BLUEPRINT
TO A PHYSICAL OBJECT
Files created in programs called “Rhinoceros 3D” or “AutoCAD” are the
blueprint for the additive manufacturing process.
