What would you like in the future? Does it have a relation with the topic of this unit too? Then, the teacher explains the meaning of work as a noun and as a verb by providing some examples. After that he asks them to look at the pictures on page 187 of the textbook, read the sentence in the bubbles and match them. The teacher checks it orally.Once he checks the students’ work, he tells them that they will have to work hard in this starting unit and make them reflect on the Mahatma Gandhi’s quote.Finally, the teacher tells the students this is the last unit and that they have to do their best to finish well this semester. He writes the title of the page (“looking for a job”) on the board and asks them what the meaning of that phrase is. Then he asks them what kind of jobs they would like to have. After that the students do activities 1 to 3 that are related to the topic. The teacher goes to the students’ sits and helps them to comprehend the activities and what they have to do.After checking orally their answers, the teacher writes on the board “applying for a job” and make the students think of the difference between this phrase and the previous one. Then, he explains the meaning of it and asks them if they know what a CV is. After that, he explains what next activity is going to be about.
