3. Elephants are plant and fruit eaters.

4. Elephants talk to each other by making sounds called tummy rumbles . They also make a trumpeting sound to call each other.

5. Elephants can live as long as eighty years.

6. Elephants have four teeth and two tusks.

7. Elephants have big ears but poor hearing and eye sight.

8. One of the softest parts of their body is at the back of the ears, which is called the knuckle.

9. Elephant trainers, called Mahouts, use their feet to steer or give commands to the animal via the knuckle at the back of the ears.

10. Elephants spend about 16 hours a day eating as much as 495 pounds per day of food.

11. Adult male is called bull.

12. Adult female is called cow.

14. Humans chop down trees because we need paper and other products; hence, our forests are getting smaller.

15. People kill elephants to take their tusks and put them on walls as decorations.

16. I can write a letter to Mr. Donald Tsang and the government to persuade them by asking people not to cut trees down and killing elephants.

17. I hope l will persuade the government to make a difference. Conclusion
