#1 Create a multimedia campaign on a new dating app trying to enter the
Indian market.
Naming the Dating App to be “Genie”.
Concept Note:
Genie is just like a friend. Just like in the Aladdin cartoon, Genie was a friend of
Aladdin and he became friends with Jasmine as well! So, whenever any of them
needed help they would call Genie.
Hence, the users of the App, irrespective of their gender is calling Genie for help.
What kind of help?
A girl is looking for a movie-date. She takes help of Genie to find a guy.
A guy is looking for a dinner-date. He takes Genie’s help to find the perfect girl!
Media to be Used:
1. TV – Video Ad
2. Print – Magazines like ELLE, VOGUE INDIA, etc.
3. Social Media
1. TV – Video AD
Idea:
A girl is sitting at a Café where there are other guys and girls sitting alone, and
a few couples.
Every time she blinks, she sees that all the ones sitting alone now have a pair!
But they were all looking in to their mobile phones all this time.
Then she also opens her phone and figures out the Dating App.
Changes to a scene where a guy is surfing through the App on his phone at a
different background.
There’s a clicking sound, and the guy gets sucked in to the mobile. He gets
transported to the table at the restaurant where the girl was sitting and both
of them become very happy.

Creative Option 1:
A girl sitting at a Café and on the other side of the table a mobile phone is kept
from which a guy is coming out just like Genie comes out of his lamp.
Copy: Why have coffee alone?

who has his coffee the same way or may be the opposite!

share with their dating partners. The most quirky answer wins!

#2 A 100 year old, monolithic, tech-solutions company that only provided
enterprise solutions to big organizations is now targeting startups in
India. The company does not have budgets for TV, print, outdoor, radio.
Give me one big digital-only idea that will get startups excited about this
tech-solutions company. (Obviously, they've gotten their pricing right for
startups).
Idea 1 – Influencer Marketing:
- Testimonials are way more credible versus bragging about the self! Hence, tech
buyers these days are trusting influencers more than ever.
- Identifying the right influencers for a paid credibility campaign can actually be
profitable. The influencers have already proven themselves and have a huge follower
base to advertise your offerings to!
- The influencers are also sorted with their way of communication which can bridge
the gap between a 100 years old monolithic tech-solutions company and the very
young start-up professionals.
Idea 2 – Videos for Social Media Platforms:
- Extremely impactful mode of communication because it engages two sensory organs!
- There’s no rule book that says a B2B video content cannot be humorous, entertaining,
quirky and creative!
Rather, what’s important is that the video content needs to be idiot-proof, useful,
engaging and educational.
- Animated infographics and explainer videos which directly talk about the various
solutions & services the company is offering to the start-ups.
Idea 3 - Bumper Ads for YouTube:
- The six-seconder, unskippable ads are high impact mainly because the viewers just
can’t skip them!
- Indian start-ups are mostly established by young professionals who are pretty
frequent on YouTube. Hence, the targeting will be very appropriate, impactful and easy.
- The already existing video ads of the company can be turned into Bumper Ads. This
saves pretty much on the cost as well!

#4 What has been your biggest failure in all your years of working?
How did you deal with that failure? And what was the lesson learnt?
I have never really failed as such!
But yeah, I’ve faced quite a few challenges.
The biggest one being the times when I try too hard to come up with ideas or
copies!
But I’ve noticed that when I try too hard, my mind just shuts so tight!
Rather, when I relax and enjoy myself, sipping on to coffee, or listening to music, or
anything that distracts me from the pressure, it’s then that ideas and copies flow.
I have learnt to keep calm!
I’ve learnt to motivate myself, and not depend on anybody.
I have learnt to give myself a pat on the back whenever I outdo myself!
And most importantly, I’ve learnt to self-actualise.
#5 Write a blog-post on a little-known tech product that excites you. (I'm
not tech-inclined, but I'm clued into the tech world thanks to social
media. So pick the tech product carefully.)

  • 10. #4 What has been your biggest failure in all your years of working? How did you deal with that failure? And what was the lesson learnt? I have never really failed as such! But yeah, I’ve faced quite a few challenges. The biggest one being the times when I try too hard to come up with ideas or copies! But I’ve noticed that when I try too hard, my mind just shuts so tight! Rather, when I relax and enjoy myself, sipping on to coffee, or listening to music, or anything that distracts me from the pressure, it’s then that ideas and copies flow. I have learnt to keep calm! I’ve learnt to motivate myself, and not depend on anybody. I have learnt to give myself a pat on the back whenever I outdo myself! And most importantly, I’ve learnt to self-actualise.
